You shouldn't build in public! 🚨 An indie hacker shamelessly cloned my website. Here's the full story 👇 I didn't want to start drama, but I saw no change after reaching out in DMs first. Someone tagged me in a post by an indie hacker struggling with $0 revenue after months. They suggested starting a dev agency. I empathized with them and offered my advice/help. They never reached out. A few days later, they announce that they're starting a dev agency. I'm not the only one offering MVP development services. There are great people like @JanuBuilds, @manoj_ahi, @a7fort, @mubashariqbal, and many more. Although we're technically competitors, I believe there is enough space for everyone. What I don't support is blatantly copying someone. They cloned the: • TLD • Layout • Copy • Colors • Button animations (yes, even that!) Imo, this doesn't inspire confidence or strength as a business or freelancer. I reached out and kindly asked to change it. No apology, no changes. Make your own decision if you want to label yourself as an "indie hacker" or "build in public". The space is becoming toxic, with more snakes roaming around. In January, I decided to leave that label behind. I met some of the greatest people here, who are now part of my closest circle. I'm forever grateful for that. Good thing you can't clone skill or reputation. I'll leave it at that and move on now. 🫡

Makes sense for her team to solidify their policy proposals and work on her vulnerabilities rn. She's lying in wait, cons will run on her hiding and being fake and get btfod when she appears reasonable.

@RichardHanania Vance today raised an important point though - Kamala almost never speaks off the cuff. All her appearances are carefully choreographed (and even then, it seems like she makes gaffes).. I hope Republicans capitalize on this.. call her "Kamalprompter" or something like that.

Right-wingers are very mad at my election analysis since Kamala replaced Biden. Of course the polls have 100% backed up what I’ve been saying and Trump’s lead is gone, but instead of congratulating me for my insight they just get angrier. For the record, I recommended Burgum.

Have no idea why people think Trump is better for the economy. I remembered how Trump cut taxes on the rich and deficit spent like crazy, text book moves to cause high inflation. His vague policy proposals point to tariffs and a trade war. I'm team #bidenomics

I am not ashamed to share this. I built my first MVP, and It failed miserably. I thought it was a cool idea that would work. I built a fully functional web app with many features. After launching, no one used it. I started running ads and acquired 60 users. But they weren't my actual target users. they just wanted to try it out. I emailed everyone asking for feedback on whether it was helpful. No one replied. I was sad that it wasn't working. So, I shut down the app. I started learning about building products from every resource I could find. I watched lectures from YC, read books and blogs. Then I understood the process of building. You can't just build something and expect users to come if the product is not useful. The more I learn, the more I realize. • You should build a product only when there is a genuine need. • You must be able to find and reach your target users. • Always validate your idea first. • Have an effective way to sell.

This guy doesn't understand entrepreneurship 🥲 ​ When you're just starting, you're working without return 90% of the time. ​ It's not about immediate return. You're trading your time for experience + knowledge. ​ Knowledge then allows you to trade your time for a better return on investment later ​ I'm making over $15,000/month now, I would NEVER have been able to do that if I didn't work my ass off to get experience and improve my skills through small wins.

Finally figured out how to package my electron app... idk why it was so hard to figure out how to import electron forge into my current app, thankfully it was simple enough to just duplicate lol
