@andrewparker Of all the states I've hired remote employees, WA has been by far the worst and most annoying. So much paperwork, incorrect forms, and bureaucracy. I use @justworks (and would recommend), but with WA there's still a lot of stuff you have to do yourself.

very niche lazyweb: anyone have a tutorial on employer responsibilities when you have an employee in WA state? I feel like I keep screwing up insurance, taxes, filings as an employer and it's because I don't know what I don't know.

@ruthgracewong The worst! I was so sad after my cargo bike was stolen. When I finally got a new one, I paid for a separate bike insurance policy (Simple Bike Insurance)... Gives me piece of mind, I think totally worth it for the Bay Area.
