We are pleased to see growing bi-partisan support for House Resolution 1131 - Celebrating Hindu Americans, and condemning attacks on Hindu places of worship, Hinduphobia, and #antiHindu bigotry. @RepBuddyCarter becomes the 10th co-sponsor-thank you for the support. And our thanks again to @RepDrewFerguson , @RepPatFallon , @RepMaxMiller @CongressmanRaja , @RepMcCormick , @RepHaleyStevens , @RepMikeLawler , @RepWileyNickel , @SanfordBishop and of course @RepShriThanedar Your public support for #AmericanHindus is reassuring and calls out the importance of the freedom of religion for small minorities-especially in the light of growing anti-Hindu hate. 🙏 H. Res 1131 honors the contributions of Hindus to the US, while also provides institutional recognition for the growing tide of #Hinduphobia. Despite being a small #minority the community has seen as many as 6 temples attacked in just two months in the Bay Area in addition to targeting of numerous #Hindu individuals, simply for their faith and background.
