Islamic authorities rebuilt the Church of the Holy Sepulchre three different times over the centuries. They had a law protecting Christian pilgrims on their journey. Nobody messed with the pilgrims.

@flamestridr @Super_Saiko77 As a Muslim in America, yes it is basically cultural. When I was in High School I knew 2 Catholics practicing Lent out of hundreds (predominantly catholic school). Along with that general sinning and stuff was normalized.

Yet in places where Christian retook Muslim lands, as Spain and parts of Eastern Europe, nativeMuslim communities disappeared. At least Islam has a legal obligation.

If you’re going to use Islam as your evidence, then use the Sunnah too. The Prophet SAW did not secretly marry and then shock his wives afterward.

Islamically, it’s not even an obligation for a husband to inform his wife when taking another wife. As a Muslim man, you can wake up tomorrow and marry another wife without your first wife’s knowledge. She can find out after the wedding.

Probably Giancarlo Esposito only knew the social media version of Islam until he went to Saudi Arabia and actually interacted with Muslims. He realized they were the complete opposite of what the world often portrays!
