It takes real courage to admit a policy blunder. STT was introduced in 2004 to replace LTCG tax. Then, for more revenue, Government brought back LTCG in 2018—and kept STT on top. They further increased LTCG in 2024 while retaining STT. A classic double whammy for investors. Hoping sanity prevails in the Budget. Fingers crossed. 🙏 #CommonSenseApproach
