@FaradayYouTube What makes this more effective, or any different than shorts? Is it that it’s not packaged in the shorts part of the platform?

@mkobach I actually have a theory that they are already doing it. I see so many movie clips online where I look up the movie and it’s on something that isn’t one of the top streaming services. Like tubi or starz or something.

@PaddyG96 What’s your thoughts for b2b videos? At my company we tend to make videos that solve a specific problem for a decision maker at a company so it’s searchable.
Our “everything” videos do better on views but are often views from beginners who aren’t as well versed on the topic.

@saradietschy Check out this thread, x.com/valentinavee/s…
Valentina Vee@valentinavee
Here you can see it inside a lantern, with the skirt on (to prevent spill on the walls). They DID add more diffusion, as I predicted. But I've never seen it like this (hanging off in strips - yellow). They also put some sort neg (duvetyne?) INSIDE the lantern (red).
English

@saradietschy If you want to keep you in a softer light but still create separation, I would try a lantern coming from higher up and flagged off from the background. Then light the background separately with a fill bouncing off the ceiling.

My neon sign was always clipping in my shot so I finally gave in and switched to LOG (i usually don't bother)
Recent tweaks:
👉 S-Cinetone to LOG
more info, highlights saved, way more control in post
👉 Cleaned up the background shelves
less visual noise, way too chaotic by my head
👉 Cranked key + fill
neon can't be brighter than my face
Future tweaks:
👉 Make it more "dark mode" like before
hard when the neon is basically a sun, might have to break out the grid on the soft box but I hate using those feel like it make my face look weird

@danielpearson @ycombinator @wideframeai Appreciate the response! Can’t wait to try it out. This could really shake up the industry and save a massive amount of time for video projects. I’ll definitely reach out with any feedback. Glad to see an AI tool that tackles problems beyond just generating video.
English

especially if share specific photos (or even reference frames of the video so it knows) of each product into the workspace as context to teach @wideframeai what they are, then feed in the b-roll... it will do a very good job at this.
during your free trial, just ping me if you run into issues. almost always we can ship an update to fix whatever you're seeing. what you are talking about is actually a hard technical problem and it has taken us a lot of work to make it good and it can always be better!

Wideframe just launched on @ycombinator!

@elonmusk This is basically the plot line in Silicon Valley the show, when they use extra processing power from phones for a decentralized internet.

@zanehengsperger @Contrary_Res PE firms have been acquiring these companies for years. Winning on price will be tough, you need to build a relationship with those owner and build a reputation for taking care of their teams.
English

@BurchetteMason That’s the company I work for! Hope you enjoy your new machine.
English

@jackson_steve Sure, but pulling up the comparison like that is wild. Don’t get me wrong, I love it.
English

@craigzLiszt Ya but have you OpenAI’d something? Or have you chatGPT’d yet? Do you think it’s a household term yet? I wonder what the personal uptake is across the US and different demographics?
English

@willdepue Mind map function would be amazing. So as I ask new questions it makes different connections to what we were talking about previously. If you’re building an idea, product, company etc. you won’t have to copy all your notes into another app.
English

@willdepue I want to edit images in layers like a design software. This makes graphic design ideation and image editing more feasible. I.e. adding a text layer, person or object into an image. But then being able to turn objects on and off with one click. Also pixel counts/dimensions.
English

@aphysicist @willdepue Canvas but for spreadsheets would be amazing
English

@willdepue how about a functional way to work with spreadsheets, which btw no model can do
