the crazy thing about @NYCMayor Mamdani is that he's wildly popular, respected, and appreciated, simply for the act of doing his job. He's just doing stuff he is supposed to do. and everyone loves it. i'm glad he has opened up a new style of politics where politicians find out people will like and vote for them if they do their fucking job. maybe we get more of that?
