INNOSPACE has identified the cause of the mission termination of its first commercial HANBIT-Nano launch through a joint investigation with Brazil’s aerospace accident investigation authority, CENIPA. The cause was determined through analysis of flight data, video records, and more than 300 recovered debris pieces. Approximately 33 seconds after liftoff, gas leakage occurred at the forward section of the first-stage hybrid rocket combustion chamber assembly, leading to a rupture of the combustion chamber. The investigation found that the leakage was caused by insufficient compression of sealing components during the on-site reassembly of the forward chamber plug as part of launch preparation activities in Brazil. INNOSPACE is strengthening its assembly processes and quality management procedures while implementing component improvements and additional verification. Following launch authorization from the Korea Aerospace Administration(KASA), the company plans to conduct a follow-up launch in Brazil in the third quarter of 2026. In the coming weeks, Arianespace will begin the launch campaign, from satellite processing to integration on Ariane 6, preparing these payloads for their journey to low Earth orbit. The VA268 mission, designated LE-02 by Amazon, will fly on Ariane 6 in its four-booster configuration, a powerful setup particularly adapted to support the sustained deployment of large constellations. This mission is the second of 18 launches planned under our contract with Amazon, reflecting a long-term partnership built on performance, reliability and shared ambition to expand global connectivity from space. Deploying constellations, sequence by sequence Deploying a constellation requires more than launch performance alone. It requires the ability to manage complex separation sequences and accurately position groups of satellites once in orbit. En février, j’ai eu la chance de visiter le BSB (Booster Storage Building) avec cinq P120C à l’intérieur : quatre ESR pour la prochaine Ariane 6 et le premier étage de Vega C #VV29. C’est ce dernier que l’on voit sortir du BSB sur cette image. VV29 est prévu pour le 8 avril.

CSG - L’Ariane 6 avec quatre boosters d’appoint (la plus puissante) est prête, le portique est retiré, les 32 satellites de Amazon Leo sont bien harnachés. La fenêtre s’ouvre à 17h45.
