@bobwebberlawyer @adrianpandev I don’t know how to answer that other than to expand into litigating issues in federal court because that’s going to be necessary until at least January 2029. That and going more frequently to my psychic to try and predict what crazy and unlawful policy is coming next

The first term of Trump was policy differences but the second term of Trump is breaking the institutions and structures of the US immigration system. I am starting to use the term policy nihilism. As attorneys we don’t have a framework for this. It would be like a World Cup match where you are preparing yourself for the big game but the other team locks the stadium doors and doesn’t show up. How do you prepare for that?

USCIS customer service in 2026. Chat doesn’t work. So you are on hold for almost 3 hours. Once you speak to someone they schedule you for a call back within 3 days. Then you spend 3 days making sure you don’t step away from your desk in cases the 202 area code number calls.
Steven Brown@AttyStevenBrown

I was starting to think my call wasn’t important to @USCISJoe but after 2:46 minutes I finally got to speak with someone. The music, while much better, got old quickly Joe! Now I wait for a call some time within the next 72 hours to talk to someone who can actually help…

@curtismorrison If that’s what Iran did with money the United States returned to them, there would be no worries. But they fund the killing of anything western that doesn’t further their efforts to kill any citizens the great satan or Jews

If a ballroom is $300M and Trump’s giving Iran $300B, this means Iran can build 1,000 Ballrooms.

@skupor @washingtonpost @USOPM @POTUS Telework boosts efficiency: Studies show fed teleworkers report 72% improved performance, engagement, & productivity gains >12%. Saves on office costs, cuts commuting, retains talent—delivering better results at lower expense. Reforms should measure outcomes, not mandate offices.

If a Democratic President was at 35% approval w/two-thirds of independent voters disapproving of his job, you'd hear nothing but Jimmy Carter comparisons, but since the media treats Trump like a combination of a political Godzilla and nine-dimensional chess player, it's crickets

Doesn't instill a lot of confidence in Bilton's pinky swear there will not be editorial interference with 60 Minutes and not for anything, but seems like an easily provable (or disprovable) claim since Pelley says an email exists from Weiss directing his team to change a story.

@seanmdav @russvought Or he has a deep seeded disdain for federal workers which he has stated. It’s fine to have a view that the govt is too big, but instead of a reasonable and measured approach that Clinton used to cut the government, Vought led the effort to disregard workers’ welfare & well-being

@adrianpandev Well this is how it goes when they try to put their inner thoughts and wishes up against decades of administrative law and established processes and procedures. Unfortunately it won’t be the last time we experience it

HOLY FUCKING SHIT I don't even want to know how they determine what someone thinks or feels. Literal thought police.
Rep. Nancy Mace@RepNancyMace

INTRODUCING: The No Immigration Without Assimilation Act. This bill is simple: if you hate America, you don't get to come here or stay here. Period. Before anyone receives any immigration benefit, the Department of Homeland Security will conduct a full screening to determine: Do they hold views incompatible with American principles? Are they unlikely to assimilate into American culture? Would their presence be detrimental to our culture and cultural cohesion? If the answer to any of those questions is yes, they are inadmissible. If they are already here, they are deportable. America has every right to protect its culture, its laws, and its people. Our bill is crystal clear about what disqualifying views look like: ◼️ Belief in religious law replacing or operating parallel to U.S. law, such as Sharia law ◼️ Belief religiously or politically motivated violence is justified ◼️ Belief constitutional rights should not apply to individuals ◼️ Belief authoritarian government is superior to representative democracy ◼️ Refusal to learn the English language This is not hypothetical. This is already happening on American soil. Sharia tribunals have been accused of masquerading as legal courts in Texas. Dearborn, Michigan has been accused of operating under Sharia law. The Muslim call to prayer has been broadcast through the streets of New York City whether residents wanted to hear it or not. The days of rolling out the welcome mat for people who despise this country are over. We are not a dumping ground for the third world. This bill puts America first and we will not apologize for it.

@Slate @Dahlialithwick @mjs_DC complaining about the current court, how it rules, and how it was formed…oblivious or uncaring that this has happened before under the Warren Court, widely regarded as the most liberal and activist Supreme Court in United States history. Give me a break🙄

#USCIS Adjudicators Gone Wild: If you've ever wondered what @USCIS adjudicators at your local Field Office talk about, here is a little insight. I got text messages between two @USCIS adjudicators who happen to be married. Some Context: (1) these were produced in discovery (and they were not marked confidential) in an 8 USC 1421(c) case; (2) the wife adjudicator denied the N400 and the husband adjudicator reviewed the N400 denial in the N336 administrative appeal; (3) in their depositions, they testified they did not discuss the case at home; it turns out they agreed to testify they didn't discuss the case at home via text message; (4) the husband testified that he deleted all text messages (despite a litigation hold in place and a case going on--that's called spoliation); (5) the wife admits she did not put these messages in Teams, presumably to avoid production via #FOIA or discovery; (6) the couple believes they are victims despite the fact that they denied my client's naturalization application; (7) they think I am "going after them" but @USCIS adjudicators do not sign their denials; when a potential client comes to me with an absurd denial, I have no idea what adjudicator issued it. But for some reason, I have filed several cases against absurd denials and they end up being the adjudicators on the denials; (8) the wife celebrates us losing the "Darling" case; we lost on jurisdiction challenging the wife's unconstitutional retaliation against another client; (9) Not sure how either of these two can ever adjudicate any of my clients' applications ever again considering they "truly hate me." (10) Please note their attorneys picked the date, time, and location of their depositions, not me. But when you dehumanize someone, they are at fault for everything. I have nothing against this couple. I don't know them. I am sure they are nice people. I wish them the best. But I am still going to push for my client to get naturalized, despite their best efforts otherwise. That's my job, even if they hate me for i

For the folks saying AOS is a loophole or that AOS wasn’t the primary intent of Congress…in 2000 as part of AC21, Congress specifically added 204(j) to provide job flexibility for long delayed applicants of adjustment of status. Congress continued to make it a smoother process, not a harder one like @USCISJoe is. #UltraViresJoe

@ParvizMalakouti @jwhollis The administrative state is on their side, so they celebrate. But when the pendulum shifts back, and the administrative state is not on their side, they’ll complain.
