@elliagne I had a slate colored wall, like chalk board, but not chalk board paint, with 8 inch white baseboards/door frames. Bright colors looked great against it. Yellow greens, oranges, reds. You could change the feel of the room with the seasons depending what colored things were out.

Show me a bold color you painted a wall in your house and never regretted it.

@Daramgar Love this idea. Granted, it’s not produce, but the smallest block of a decent $6-8 Parmesan packs so much more flavor than a tub of grated junk and can get you 2-3 meals of a carbonara.

Going forward, I would love to do a video series of me live shopping in the average American grocery store and talk about how to pick something out to at least push the quality as much as we can. That would be really important for us to do. I have my own learning to do, too

so many cooking videos and chefs are so disconnected from the actual quality of ingredients most people have access to they show off beautiful produce and talk about seasonality and they try teach people minimalistic cooking, but that only benefits those with those materials

@MaryNumair I flew into Minneapolis one December. So many deep blue frozen lakes dusted in a light snow, and some kid foot stepped “Mery Xmas” across one. Saw it from the sky. :)

The last few days have made me realize how much I miss Minnesota. I was a 10 min drive to MOA! I miss Kowalskis (don’t come for me). And the rumors are true, there are just so many lakes everywhere!

Years ago I took my then 5-year old kid to see Full Moon on Broadway (Bill Irwin aka Mr. Noodle!) and he sat, seemingly enraptured, the whole show. When I asked him how he liked this mime show he said "that was really good...but imagine how good it would be if they talked!"

Greetings from Porto! Odd place but it's growing on me. 2 seconds after this Senhor Seagull flew over and nabbed one of my pataniscas de bacalhau (cód fritters), knocking off and shattering a green water bottle. Sadly for him he dropped the patanisca as he was flying off ☹️

@exiliaex This thread is fascinating. I can’t help clarify “invasive species” but in my (very limited) experience with a good handful of them, I was surprised how often people try to find ways to eat them, plants and animals, to combat the intrusion. Even kudzu. Search “recipes”.

@LadyKdesigns I heard, as they were filming this, they realized that Buscemi had never lived to the end of a Coen Brother’s film. So they rewrote the script to keep that tradition going.
