Spent months figuring out how to add dynamic lights to Gaussian Splats without surface normals. Turns out? Just use the view direction. It's "fake" but runs at 60+ FPS and looks great:-) Sometimes good enough is better than perfect. @OlixOliver @janusch_patas @DigitalTwin @unity Your results are really nice 👍 Juste to be sure to follow you correctly on the pipeline. Basically deckard will work on the legacy pipeline in unity, handling the image camera realism. GS is handle with @aras_p implementation or this is also handle by deckard?

Deckard Renderer is a plugin for @Unity that I've made. It is mostly based on Unity Engine, but it tackles problems of physical simulation of depth of field, color response of most of the cameras out there, motion blur, and antialiasing, and also soft shadowing. Most of the problems that are crippling a realtime graphics rendering. It doesn't work in realtime, but it is extremely fast. You can render a photorealistic scene 25-50 times slower than realtime. That means that you have a reasonable times for rendering, and more interactive preview.

Custom GLSL Shader Modifiers for @Modyfi_ are super close to be release as an experimental feature. Replay or RT if you are interested on trying it out. Just image coding shaders inside a non-destructive / generative web tool which also leverage GenAI.

Have you made some #3D models with #gaussiansplatting using @LumaLabsAI or @Polycam3D ? Here is how you can now clean them up directly on the web: People nowadays call them "Splats". These 3D models have the advantage of being extremely light compared to polygon-based 3D models. You can use various apps to generate these assets like the one I mentioned above. Often what you need is just a video or a set of images that you can shoot directly from your phone. To my knowledge, none of those apps right now offer the ability to edit and "clean" the model you get.... UNTIL NOW! You can go to playcanvas.com/super-splat from @playcanvas import the splats you have downloaded and start cleaning it up directly on your #browser.
