@PsychoxDH There will always be an optimal build but I remember how fucked a lot of classes were in BFA that had to spec either AoE or ST and lost insane amounts in either because they didn't have it baseline like other classes did.

@PsychoxDH The talent trees allows them to add talents for multiple types of content, if you only care about raiding yes it was a mistake because talents were already designed for raiding as their main focus. The results have been that more classes can compete on both AOE and ST.

Genuinely having fun playing Midnight so far. My biggest complaint about the game is the same as before I quit. The talent tree changes they made in Dragonflight were a huge mistake. It gives you the illusion of choice while remaining unnecessarily complex.

@comfyvampy M+ is like raid, but instead of 9-29 ppl you just wait for the other 4 to stop fucking up.

mythic+ isn’t about skill. it’s about how politely you pretend everything’s fine while the group burns like teldrassil

@PandaTVoce The only thing they can do is just ignore the degeneracy happening at the top or make them play on the tournament realm. Anything they could do in trying to cap splits would probably hurt the overall game more than it helps.

I love most of the boys from all the RWF guilds, but what are blizzard meant to do here? Splits are literally so calculated to the point its 100's pages of spread sheets, guilds doing multiple mythic split runs, like blizzard cannot counter how much goes into RWF these days, And for the most, average players they will love the difficulty of the raid currently.

@MarcosVq @TheChunkeyNinja So you mean the other 2000 guilds are only raiding for gear and not because of the challenge of clearing the content?

Its pretty crazy how many different ways Blizz can try and make mythic work for the varying skill levels except the obvious one. Challenge mode with normalised gear and global release already. Please!

@Karkesis @tettles Like when +2s were lucrative ppl would only spam +2s because its the fastest farm valor/gear (DF S1/legion) while a key levels above that became a dead zone. And we can't really make m+ too hard because then ppl just quit like every difficult season.

@Karkesis @tettles +2-5s have been dead since the rework and even before that because tanks and healers could jump straight to +11 for gear farming. It's an impossible problem to solve because the community will just do the most optimal thing.

@DjMadi99 @tettles @Karkesis I mean if we just ignore the cantrip off-pieces/jewelry and weapons. Like gavel was a DPS upgrade for bdk on raid finder over the best myth weapon you could get from m+. Some tiers are closer which is good but we never really see cantrip items from m+ on the lvl of raid anymore.

@Alezedar @tettles @Karkesis Im not saying that raid gear is not better than m+ every season but you cant say its shit when its 1-2% difference between raid and m+ trinkets. This is not always the case but this season it definitely is, and ideally its always that small of a difference.

@Landar486 @redzenox @SaluunTV I mean there are so many guilds just random guilds inviting ppl, if you just join whatever social-raiding/m+ guild and start talking and trying to join whatever content you do you can at least find ppl to play with.

@Alezedar @redzenox @SaluunTV counter point, you can't find friends/guilds unless you get to play the game. i remember when everyone was worlds more welcoming to the public & I miss that.

Blizzard really messed up keys by making the first 7 levels obsolete. I've been sitting here for 25 minutes without a single applicant. I just want to level up my own key. I feel super punished for opening the vault on this character upon logging in. At least let me destroy it

@tettles @Karkesis I mean m+ rewards are already shit every tier compared to raid rewards anyway, maybe a few trinkets can compete sometimes but most of the time the correct answer is to raid for the best gear (even lfr gear at times). That being the case it makes sense for m+ to be a bit easier.

@TheTacoTim I think it might be time to consider level based match making in extraction shooters, I get tarkov not having it really because it's a more hardcore game but for new games they should consider it to not make it impossible for new players.

Ragebait and joking aside for the moment. (yes I'm being serious for a moment) - Personally I don't care for a PvE mode (perhaps outside of a PvE co-op based LTM for like an event) similar to Apex's Halloween stuff back in the day - Tarkov's PvE did split it's community, however the context of that was largely around frustration with cheaters and the ultra-hardcore aspect of it. (over 1k hours in Tarkov, and 50% of them was in the last two wipes at least) - I do think Marathon COULD benefit in the sense of casual players having a slightly more enjoyable experience, gaming is sweaty nowadays and while I personally wouldn't play a PvE mode, there are people out there frustrated with aspects of it's PvP. I think that's a tell of an underlying issue (kind of how solos are miserable with the Assassin/Void spam, and the general aversion some players have to solos as a result) - Do I trust bungie to make the best choice for their game? Absolutely. They should, at the end of the day, do what's best for the game. Regardless of what I or anyone else says. (I'm gonna get flamed for this take aren't I... I LITERALLY PLAYED D2 FOR OVER 900 HOURS YES I UNDERSTAND WHAT HAPPENED.) - I think they cooked making this game and I genuinely haven't had this much fun with gaming in a LONG time - By no means is this game perfect. However their quick turn around on fixing stuff and addressing it has been really fast. That makes me hopeful that certain issues will be fixed in time - For those of you who are crying about it being a "dead game" why do you pull up your bookmarks for the steamcharts (yes i know you have it) and then look at other games. 50-60k players during most hours of the day is largely successful in the gaming scene. Not everything is going to be a massive hit or attract large player counts. If they wanted that, they wouldn't have made an extraction shooter. (I consider Arc an exception here as they heavily cater to the casual player, which is FINE but ultimately is an outlier in terms of extraction shooter. It's VERY niche.) Let Bungie cook, they've done it in the past, and they're doing it now. There's a reason so many of us loved Halo, Destiny, and various other IPs made by them (regardless of the criticisms on their current state) you can't deny they make fun games. That's what matters. Having fun. In this day and age "content creation" has made a mockery of what gaming really is in an attempt for a viral post or clicks. (yes I understand the irony of a content creator saying that) Go play games, and have fun. If you aren't, find a different game. You're not gonna like everything, and that's fine!

@redzenox @SaluunTV I mean I am not a classical MMO player, but the point of an MMO is to find friends and/or guilds to make the game more approachable. What we see right now is just the free market where tanks and healers are in high demand and ppl that refuse to play those roles have to wait in q.

@osintbelgium @Fanboy93038882 @FenixSRS @JRadioactiv I didn't say Tarkov has a recoil pattern (CS does), the bullets go where the muzzle is aimed. But the amount of compensating and changing fire rate/tap firing you can do is way more dynamic and natural in Tarkov compared to other games.

The knowledge gap in siege quite literally has so many layers and might be the most unfriendly first time user game ever made. Learning comp siege isn’t something you can do in Ranked either like a lot of other games Ranked vs actual comp in Siege are legit opposites. So this is beyond a faded take but I’m not surprised to see BR people thinking their RNG game is harder than an actual structured game.

@Fanboy93038882 @osintbelgium @FenixSRS @JRadioactiv I mean Tarkov gunplay is pretty chill and "easy" to learn compared to games like CS that have un-intuitive spray patterns. Tarkov is mostly a movement and knowledge based game when it comes to difficulty curve, but there is a lot baked into that.

@osintbelgium @FenixSRS @JRadioactiv Ehh I mean gunplay is definitely harder by the realistic / milsim aspect but Siege also has the layers of dozens of unique agent abilities + destructible environment + utility that make it insanely complicated

@Zorthas I am kinda fine with weapon embellishments being that strong considering cantrip weapons exist most tiers giving raiders an advantage already. Maybe they could remove embellishments from weapons but not sure it's needed. I feel like hero weapons is in an even worse spot atm.
