Yes we have COP of Institute which mandates us to complete 3 years experience in Finance before getting COP. yes we have COP of Institute whose members prepares tax returns now lets talk

@caanupam7 2. Many CAs have a mgt con. division & CMA students to join there as most of us do similar work related to accnts and tax. We do 15 months training CAs 24 Months. However taxation work by Practicing professional who has 3 years experience, so practical training is not a point

So many questions have been raised by my dear CMA friends. My reply to all my CMA friends is that first, comparing the syllabi directly can be insightful. While both CA and CMA courses cover direct taxation, the emphasis and depth in specific areas might differ. Typically, the CA syllabus, especially at the final level, delves quite deeply into income tax laws, corporate tax, international taxation, and tax procedures. The CMA syllabus mainly focuses on integrating taxation with management accounting and financial strategy. To give you a really precise comparison, looking at the latest official syllabus documents from both ICAI and ICMAI would provide us with the exact topics and weightage in each .  The second point is about the practical experience CA students often gain in tax audit. Their training typically involves significant exposure to audit procedures, including tax audits, which definitely provides hands-on experience in understanding tax compliance and identifying potential issues. This practical immersion is a valuable part of their learning. @caanupam7 Sir, 1. There is in depth analysis available with ICMAI, anything available with the ICAI please let us know. ICAI no doubt as an institute is superior in many aspects. 40 years they enjoyed absolute monopoly over taxation matter no wonder they have better Material.
