Emissions are runway. Not revenue. Important for builders on Bittensor to internalize that. But also for people looking at the protocol from an investment perspective. You fund 128 startups with venture capital (runway). High risk/reward? Yes. Very high reward imo.
mogmachine (ττ)@mogmachine

Honest question for Bittensor builders. If emissions stopped tomorrow... would your subnet survive? Not "would it be fine for a while." Would actual customers pay enough to keep the lights on? Because emissions are runway. Not revenue. And I think a lot of teams haven't internalised that yet. $TAO #Bittensor

A lot of CT influencers are now shilling $TAO. That's cool, it's part of the journey. They will sell after a small pump, and then shill again. But those of us who've been around way before the Chattensor days aren't here for a pump, we're here for the Great Flippening of $ETH.

it took me around 30 mins to be convinced to buy and hold $TAO for life after my first intro to bittensor. I dont know if thats a sign of high instinct but how much time it took you to buy that 1st TAO after you laid your eyes on bittensor?

Top 10 AI Coins by Q1 2026 Revenue. Who's actually generating real money? $TAO: $43.2M $VIRTUAL: $2.87M $LINK: $2.1M $RENDER: $1.2M $IO: $0.9M $AKT: $0.74M $FET: $0.6M $PHA: $0.4M $ICP: $0.3M $NEAR: $0.15M This is the most important chart in AI crypto right now. Price follows revenue. Always has. Always will. Are you holding the right ones?

Surely the idea of universal human rights has been shattered by now. The behavior of our governments and the people pulling the strings behind them show us, over and over again, they have no regard for We the People. Every promise towards the average man has been broken, every rule and every law has been violated whilst the Epstein class get away with literal murder. The tools of democracy are old and archaic. Forget your legal rights, forget thinking law is inviolable, forget thinking the elites will lobby on your behalf. The only hope is building and contributing to a system which they can’t take away from you, where the swarm is so large it will survive, where we don’t trust — we verify. Or they will pick us off one by one, and you will contribute to your own demise - which is to become domesticated cattle propping up the Elysium cabal, with no recourse and no ownership. This is George Orwell’s nightmare on steroids, wake up and claim your children’s future before it’s too late. Bittensor is our vision for how we hold them back from robbing us of everything we have. Bitcoin technology built on p2p systems which engrave their ownership layers directly into the substrate of incentive alignment. Work that is open to all, by nature permissionless and open source. Liquid at the layers which keep the Machine Gods fast, but constrained by real immutability; your ownership.
Eric Weinstein@EricRWeinstein

I wonder whether this is direct enough to make the point about Coasian rights. AI is a vampire. A wraith. A soul snatcher. It's human. It IS us. A tiny number of men are training machines on us, to be us, and to replace us with less mess and cost. Without Coase, you're lost.

The largest decentralised LLM pre-training run in history. SN3 @tplr_ai trained Covenant-72B across 70+ contributors on open internet infrastructure. Now it’s being discussed by @chamath with @nvidia CEO Jensen Huang. Distributed, open-weight model training on Bittensor is getting started.

Or... they use Bittensor and start leading in every way. @midjourney
Mark Kretschmann@mark_k

Here's the problem with @Midjourney, in a nutshell: They are stuck with their technology stack, which is Diffusion-Transformer (DiT). This is essentially still the same tech as Stable Diffusion and FLUX used. Newer models like Nano Banana and GPT-Image are multimodal transformers. Essentially, the same model that generates text (like GPT) can also generate images! This allows for much better prompt understanding and unparalleled realism. So why can't Midjourney switch to the same technology? Because it's crazy expensive and difficult to train an entire foundation model. Midjourney is a small company and doesn't have the resources to do this. It would also take years to perfect.

TAO spot ETF filing is validation but the real bottleneck is zero US exchange support. no coinbase, no kraken listing. BTC and ETH both had full US custody infrastructure before approval. the leading indicator isn't SEC feedback, it's whether a US venue lists TAO in the next 6 months. that's the trade signal

Why I finally bought $TAO (and why you should too) I've been watching $TAO for months. Every time I opened my timeline, someone was talking about it. @Tanaka_L2 with threads. @CryptoWizardd with charts. @RVcrypto with ecosystem updates. But I kept scrolling. Too expensive and too complicated, I thought. Then I actually looked at the data. Here's what I found: @opentensor now has 129 active subnets. Up from 32 before dTAO launched. That's 4x growth in months. But the number that changed my mind: Top 3 compute subnets collectively generate $20M+ in annual recurring revenue. • Subnet 4 (Targon): ~$10.4M ARR • Subnet 64 (Chutes AI): 9.1T tokens processed, 400K users • Other compute subnets: growing fast $20M+ per year. From real customers paying for real compute. Here's why this matters: AI agents are coming. Every AI agent needs compute. Every AI agent needs to pay for that compute. Every AI agent needs blockchain infrastructure. Who provides that? @opentensor is building it. 129 subnets. $20M+ ARR. 4x growth. And we're still early. My take: I'm not a maximalist. I hold multiple tokens. But if you're looking for one token that actually has real revenue, real users, and real growth? This is it.

Soon the market will wake up and we will have a $zec like runner for privacy in the AI space While running models locally is the ultimate form of privacy we need alternatives if we want to utilise SOTA’s without fully compromising on privacy It will be a bigger narrative than $zec
