A man named Max made his very first video game all by himself, called Sledding Game. It sold 100,000 copies in only 5 days on Steam after its Early Access release and received very good reviews with a 97% Overwhelmingly Positive rating. Sledding Game is a multiplayer game where lots of people play together in the snow. There are mini-games like snowball fights and making snowmen, and you can talk to friends with voice chat. It takes all of 1 minute to google jet fuel prices and see that they basically doubled since the war started in February. iata.org/en/publication… Also, when they filled for bankruptcy in 2024 there were a multitude of external and company specifc factors that contributed to it like the Pratt & Whitney turbofan engine recall on Spirit's Airbus A320neo fleet that grounded a good number of their aircraft, cutting capacity and revenue while fixed costs (leases, etc.) kept running combined with them never being able to recover to pre-pandemic revenue numbers and upcoming near term debt maturities that they couldn't meet. I don't really care about the merger one way or the other but solely blaming a singular politician like Warren for Spirit going bankrupt is a clear sign that they two party system propaganda is working where we ignore nuance and rather just be angry at a person or a party... politicians and/or judges can't predict future external shocks like engine recalls or jet fuel price spikes and probably don't opine much on how well they think a company's management can handle debt obligations, they operate mainly in a framework on whether said merger would be bad/good (monopolistic vs not-monopolistic) for the public from a competition perspective.

Spirit Airlines was profitable until Trump mishandled Covid resulting in five years of massive deficits. Trump put the final nail in their coffin when he invaded Iran and increased fuel cost by 70%.

The merger would have killed the affordability that people liked about Spirit airlines. Trump is to be blamed for this. He let it happen. If a Democrat was in office they would have found a way to salvage it. Gas is also crazy expensive for planes.
