@Hsheriffh2o @vhaalantine @TheGameVerse Agree with withholding something, but the ice cream trick won’t work. Children have not yet developed full emotional or intellectual depth so the ice cream is as a result of doing something bad. You want to calm them but they see action and consequence as break tv = ice cream.

The ice-cream and walk aren’t a reward for breaking the TV m, they’re a way to calm the child down so they can actually process the lesson. Once calm, we discuss the impact and follow through with a real natural consequence: using money meant for something he wanted to replace the TV he broke, That’s teaching accountability through connection + consequences, not getting away with it. What specific consequence would you use instead?

@fckngque @JamesTate121 No, it isn’t. Not even a little bit. It’s perfectly legal to make money outside of your office as president. What’s illegal is taking money in exchange for official acts. He isn’t doing that.

A retired lawyer in the U.S. was watching the news when he saw the story about the new Trump commemorative coin and something immediately didn't sit right with him. So he did what lawyers do. He went digging... And he found it. A federal law passed in 1866 that explicitly prohibits living people from appearing on U.S. currency. It's not a grey area. It's not open to interpretation. It's been sitting in the books for over 150 years. The last time this actually happened was 1926 when a coin featuring Calvin Coolidge was minted while he was still alive and serving as president. The backlash was immediate. The coins were pulled. And the law was reaffirmed... Now this retired lawyer has filed a federal lawsuit against the U.S. Mint not because of who is on the coin, but because the law says it simply cannot be done. Full stop... No political agenda. No protest. Just one guy, a dusty legal statute, and a federal case that nobody in Washington apparently saw coming

@Sacro @ScionYT @wy7usa @JamesTate121 Why did you reply to the post above. It’s very clear what the rules are but you call it slop? Bearing in mind the post supports what the case being brought by a qualified lawyer says, what’s wrong with it? Or do you comment on things just for the hell of it?

@Hsheriffh2o @vhaalantine @TheGameVerse Your comment you quoted teaches the child nothing except they will get away with doing bad things, even rewarded. If the relationship with your child is good on a day to day basis, then it can cope with having consequences. Not beating but certainly something to make them think.

@vhaalantine @TheGameVerse That’s not a solution for that, I’m sure about that but try this method and give me a thank you later x.com/hsheriffh2o/st…
Mr_ECE@Hsheriffh2o

After seeing this I will be very angry but beating him will only lead to what I might regret. I will ask us to go for a walk maybe to get an ice cream or something he loves. I will make sure we are talking, mostly me asking him about himself and what he loves. This already will give him a safe space vibe to open up After we got the ice cream, we sit down on the bench taking the ice cream and I’ll ask him. Why, why did he break the TV? After telling me why which might be valid to him but rubbish to me I will tell now the TV is broken. How is it supposed to watch this cartoon and other exciting stuff? The question will make his right brain and brain integrate properly, letting him know he has done the wrong thing , which he is actually going to suffer from it. Then some hours later drive with him in the car to get a second hand TV while he watches me negotiate with the salesman about the cost. On our way back, I’ll try to integrated the right and left brain together lessen him understand that the money I just spent on the second hand TV was meant to buy him something that me might have been asking for, I will let him know that there’s always a consequences to every actions that has been taken, he should consider what he asked me for gone. That’s a punishment of what she has done because I’ve used the money planned to get him the stuff to get the second TV, which was actually his fault. this was not only build relationship between you both , but he will understand there is always a consequence for each actions. He doesn’t know what the price of next actions would be, he’ll think twice before taking any action what will be the consequences of it.

Trump does lie, but no, I do not believe he is a servant of Satan. I am saying the current Pope does serve Satan. I am a practicing Catholic. My message to you is that there is stuff to examine beyond the Pope’s surface statement. During George Bush’s presidency, the ‘healthy forest act’ wasn’t about making forests healthy, right?

Exactly! And Pope Leo XIV should be celebrating Trump’s Presidency. Look at how many times in the past year he’s settled disputes among nations and factions whether in Thailand-Cambodia, Armenia-Azerbaijan, India-Pakistan and Hamas(Gaza)-Israel with return of remaining hostages. Not to mention removing a narco-terrorist regime leader in Venezuela! Is not the world a better place because of President Trump’s leadership? Does he not deserve the Crown of Peacemaker? Give him credit and let him continue his work for peace!

@Greensreport1 @Lambey332 @allenanalysis Your obsession and reliance on oil is a zero sum position. While we do on occasion rely on imported gas to support our energy demands, continuing tech development in both renewables and storage will make it fully possible. We’ll be fine.

The Green Brief ( Greensreport)
Batteries? You think batteries solve the UK's energy crisis? Let me help you with some research. Batteries store energy for hours. Maybe a day. Not for weeks of still, cloudy winter weather. The UK had a wind drought in September 2024. Wind generation dropped to near zero for days. Batteries ran out. Gas had to fill the gap. Gas the UK imports. China has batteries. China also has coal, nuclear, hydro, and solar. They don't rely on batteries alone. They use everything. The UK's problem isn't technology. It's ideology. You shut down your own energy. You refused to drill. You banned fracking. You put all your eggs in wind and batteries. Now you freeze and pay double to Norway. Batteries don't drill oil. Batteries don't heat homes in February when the wind stops. Batteries don't keep factories running. Do some research. On how energy grids actually work. Not on green brochures.

Trump threatened to suspend the US-UK trade deal because Starmer refused to join the Hormuz blockade. Starmer’s response: “I am not going to act under pressure. This war is not in my national interest. I cannot yield.” This is America’s closest ally. The country that has followed Washington into every military engagement for 80 years. Starmer already refused the blockade. Called Israel’s bombing of Lebanon wrong from the floor of Parliament. Suspended automatic defense renewals with Israel. And now when Trump threatened the trade relationship — he didn’t move. Britain, Australia, Italy, Meloni — every ally Trump expected to follow him has said no. The blockade has no coalition.

@Greensreport1 @Lambey332 @allenanalysis We have lots of issues, as all countries do. But transitioning to cleaner energy tech is a good thing. Ever heard of batteries? They store excess energy produced so they can still provide power during downtime. I’ll say it again. Do some research!

So basically you're happy with how things are going in the UK? You're cool with it? No new North Sea licenses. Fracking banned. Windmills giving you power when the wind blows. And when it doesn't? You freeze. Or buy from Norway at double the price. Businesses are collapsing. Fuel is sky high. Everything is imported. Manufacturing is gone. Steel is gone. Farms shutting down. The UK doesn't make anything anymore. Just imports, pays, and prays. And Starmer? The prime minister is sitting on his hands. No plan. No energy strategy. No military. Just "monitoring the situation" and telling you to wear a sweater. He won't drill. He won't build. He won't fight. He just taxes and imports. Look at the Chinese model. They use clean energy AND fossil fuel. They built the world's largest solar and wind capacity. AND they still drill, still mine coal, still build nuclear. They don't choose one over the other. They use everything. Pragmatism, not ideology. The UK should follow. Drill North Sea oil. Build nuclear. Invest in renewables. Use everything. Energy security first. Climate second. Instead, you shut down your own energy. Now you're dependent, freezing, and broke. And you think that's working? So yes, tell me again how happy you are with Starmer and this collapsing country.

@Greensreport1 @Lambey332 @allenanalysis Ok. I’ll start you off. No new North Sea licenses have been issued due to the transition to cleaner tech, fracking was banned because its very bad for the environment. Windmills along with other renewables account for nearly half of uk energy so these clean policies work.

Are you serious? You say "do research" but offer nothing. No counter-facts. No evidence. Just "you're wrong." I listed specific UK policies. North Sea drilling shut down. Fracking banned. Windmills chosen over gas. Energy dependency increased. Those are facts. Deny them if you can. "US had little choice. ROTW said it's his mess." The US acted. Alone. UK sat on its hands. Now the Strait is open. Iran folded. UK is still freezing. You can call it Trump's mess. But he cleaned it up. Your government won't even clean its own house.

Try doing some next time. The US is finally doing something because he had little choice. The ROTW made it clear it was his mess

At the cost of UK suffering. But here's the thing. The UK is suffering because of its own choices. Not Trump's. Trump didn't shut down North Sea drilling. The UK did. Trump didn't ban fracking. The UK did. Trump didn't choose windmills over gas. The UK did. Trump didn't make the UK dependent on foreign energy. The UK did. The US is cleaning up its mess. That's why the Strait is open. That's why Iran folded. That's why US energy is flowing. Europe didn't want to risk its military. Fine. The US didn't ask. They did it alone. Now the UK is freezing. The US is fine. You can blame Trump all you want. But your government sold your energy security. Not him.

Bro, I get it. Afghanistan was a nightmare. No more blind following. Fair. But this is different. The UK needs the Strait more than the US. US has its own oil. UK won't drill its own. No British boots. No British deaths. Just the US Navy keeping your energy flowing. Don't follow blindly. But don't block the hand feeding you either.

Mike Johnson says the Pope had it coming: "A religious leader can say anything they want, but obviously if you wade into political waters, you should expect some political response and I think the Pope has received some of that. Frankly I was taken a bit aback by him saying something about 'those who engage in war, Jesus doesn't hear their prayers' or something. There's something called the 'just war' doctrine.'"

Trump Administration’s Kevin Hassett says don’t worry that gas prices are going up because oil companies are doing well: “ While it’s very frustrating to go to the pump and see what the price of gasoline looks like, the benefit for oil producers, and workers in those industries is significant enough that the GDP-effect in the US is much smaller.”
