@engineeringolf That's why I figured an easy dollar sign model could be nice. Something roughly like (/dz): $ = < $30 $$ = $30-$45 $$$ = $45-$55 $$$$ = $55+ All give or take a couple bucks so you don't have to readjust for fringe cases.

@BrentBango I agree, sort by price is worth adding. Though a lot of work to keep up with any price changes. 😄 2 votes for trajectory now as well. 👍

Put some work into the Ball Guide this weekend. Lineups separated by cover type. Sort by spin. Sort by feel. What else would you like to see?

Forest Ridge was a blast. A couple par 3’s are so good! 54 holes done in the last 22 hours.

@drakesmith__ I'm a ~9 and I'm not sure if I have good course management or not. I know when I make the wrong call, but otherwise I'm not sure how to tell. I'm relatively aggressive off the tee (driver best club) and aim for center of green anything >90 yards. How should I learn mngmt better?

When I play with someone who is a 10-15 handicap my biggest take away is the easiest way to get them to a single digit is to increase their golf IQ. This is not an insult it is an opportunity. Golfers often get stuck thinking, "When I am able to....." But if you can get it airborne, course management, shot selection, target selection, etc will help you maximize the game you currently have.

@drakesmith__ How do you practice feeling the break with your feet? I tried doing some Tour Read for a bit and just struggled to feel, or quantify the feels.

How I am using the line on my ball for putting: I have been testing this and to my surprise the line is working, I have undeniably made more putts inside of 10ft which was a key area of improvement for me. I still read the putt visually, with my feet and I see the line to the hole. (I see a clear path to the hole) Now I am just using the line to make sure I am aimed properly. I will use it up to about 20 ft if it is a fairly straight putt. Outside of that I don't.
Drake Smith@drakesmith__

Do you use the line on your ball to putt? I've resisted it for years, felt too analytical, too mechanical. But I like to creep left with my aim and setup, I finally gave it a real chance yesterday. Just practiced lining it up. That's a skill in itself. And here's what surprised me: once the line was set, I stopped thinking about aim entirely. Just read, align, and roll. The ball came off the putter as pure as I've rolled it in a long time. Maybe it's a cheat code. Do you use a line or no line?

@SethRaynor_ Which course is this? I'll be in Minneapolis next weekend and trying to convince my wife that I should bring the clubs.

@TourSwingsTommy @JGrahamMac1 Is it this, or is it because pros handle "distance control," not just "distance," way better than we do? Trackman social media often posts stock yardages for pros and their irons may not be far off of ours, but their driver and 3w are usually a much bigger difference.

@JGrahamMac1 I think you just square your driver up much less often. Which is the case for every amateur I'd assume.

Always wild to see people argue that your average 30 year old male amateur hits it farther than LPGA players. We're talking your average 30 year old 15-handicap. Not scratch. Does he occasionally get ahold of one and roll it out to 280? Sure. But 90 out of 100 times, these ladies are hitting it past you.
Tour Swings Tommy@TourSwingsTommy

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Watching and emulating LPGA swings instead of PGA swings would do most amateurs a lot of good.

@tweeth_mitchell Fels Naptha is always the answer, but I'm not sure if even that will save you here. Best of luck!

This is the collar of my favorite golf polo, which I only wore a handful of times before it got washed and dried with a marker and got stained like this. Here's what I've tried so far to get it out: Spraying with Oxi Clean Spray 24 hour soak in detergent and Oxi Clean 24 hour soak in borax and Oxi Clean Praying to Anuk, the Sumerian god of laundry Before I give up on this entirely, does anyone have any other suggestions?

@offthegrid777 @BryanTweed16 @katywinters42 I played Battle Creek last time I was there and had fun, but Forest Ridge was genuinely one of the nicest courses I've played. Awesome fairway undulations, handful of strategic tee shots, and pure greens. Bummer they're going private, but I get it.

What’s the best way to use a scorecard? Used it to track my score for the first time yesterday instead of 18 birdies. Had no idea what I was doing but it can’t be that complicated to do it “correct”:

Today we are taking golf course geo guesser black to my college roots. Yes, unfortunately it’s a neighborhood course, but it has a bunch of risk reward holes and is truly a fun layout. Played a lot of golf here back in the day.

Idk who needs to hear this but you can hold down the 0 key on iPhone to make a ° symbol. 60° wedge implies you’re scratch. 60* wedge implies a footnote.

@MidwestGolfJake That was a first for me for sure. Driver has been good lately, but usually sit in the ~9 range as they trickle off into the rough. Unfortunately, the putter was not as hot.
