Currently, WIC funding is covered by the CR. There’s special language allowing WIC to spend at a higher rate as needed, as long as it doesn’t exceed last year’s total. The issue: the need has increased. So, under a date change CR w/o a fix, hungry newborns will go w/o benefits.
