@neale452 @JacobsBen What evidence do you have that the agent got a "backhander" that convinced him to sign a long term contract?

@JacobsBen As i said on another post he still has 5 years on his contract his agent taking a backhander from chelsea has probably ruined his chances of a move. Silly players bent agents and chelsea go hand in hand. Hope he sits and stays. When player collecting doesnt work

Chelsea’s owners and leadership team back Liam Rosenior in dropping Enzo Fernandez for two games. Viewed as strong leadership by the Chelsea head coach as well as instilling discipline and standards. #CFC plan to further strengthen the squad this summer and senior players have been told about forthcoming recruitment plans as well as the club’s ambition to win further silverware. Captain Reece James signed a new contract fully aware of Chelsea’s planned activity. Fernandez would welcome a move to Real Madrid, as reported, but Chelsea remain calm about any potential exit and don’t plan on making a book loss if a summer sale is entertained.🇦🇷

When Chelsea put players on eight-year deals and then find out they’ve got a toxic dressing room, the Blueco model starts to fall apart

@CFCRobL Teams are never as far away from being competent as they appear in a low ebb. This group has shown it can be strong with the right coaching, but the hiring process is clearly an issue.

@CFC12thMan It's possible, he's had a mare of a fortnight, I just don't really think anything changes if someone else comes in, especially as the appointment will be very similar to EM/LR. I just loathe the idea of SDs throwing a manager under the bus to save themselves again.

I'm just exhausted of the discourse at this point, it'll forever be focusing on the lower level things because we know full well the actual problem will never be addressed. Sack the manager so the problem can make another hire to work under the same self imposed limitations.

@CFCRobL Last four years are a nice case study in why not to change your coach mid-season. Our fortunes, and comparative finishes to the seasons, in the years we have and haven't made a change (despite opportunities to do so in all four) are a real contrast.

@TimSpiers If you're going to resort to this level of journalism for a few cheap laughs at the expense of a young english coach, the least you could do would be to actually make the jokes punchy, imaginative and above all, funny. But alas, you tried.

@Luyologist @Rooftop_Rambo @CFCdruw Not really. Because bad signings can be moved on and replaced. They won't hang around for years, on resource draining loans like Lukaku, Kepa, Bakayoko etc. Rosenior setting the team up to fail has absolutely nothing to do with the transfer strategy.

Seriously, I can't believe some of the things I'm seeing regarding Jeremy Jacquet. We've been crying out for quite some time now that we need to sign a CB and now that we're doing so, suddenly there's an issue? Jacquet is our priority target for a reason. If you take a look at some of our other priority targets over the last few windows and then compare them to the players we ended up signing... There's a difference. Pay the extra 10m-20m to sign YOUR guy. Give it a few months and Chelsea fans will be raving about Jeremy.

@CFCCentral3 No, just no. This group has the ability to go toe to toe with PSG at an individual level. The coach is setting them to fail in key areas and that cannot be ignored. The players deserve better than these potiful excuses.

Sackable offences have been committed season upon season without any repercussions. Nepotism hires are thriving, press access is being revoked if you write against their wonderful vision. An echo chamber where the dumb lead the dumb on a path to self-destruction.

Rosenior is an easy scapegoat but it's easy to see past him once you realize how out of his depth he is. Direct your anger towards the woefully incompetent Sporting Directors who have taken 4 years to build a side that PSG built in half the time and with less expenditure.

@GerrardSlip2013 @Statford_Bridge Maresca got upset because he was dropping points fielding rotated teams (under instruction) to protect players physically, whilst "Is Maresca's rotation is harming Chelsea?" discourse was allowed to spread unabated. Rosenior dropping points whilst grinding players is not ideal.

Rosenior runs virtually the same 11 3 days after an insanely physical tie in which he made no subs, James immediate muscle injury. Sigh.

@JulieMCFC @MrDomSmith @standardsport Strange misinterpretation given he explicitly says the kid deserved an apology. Also, it's not unreasonable to suggest both the kids behaviour and shirt sharing was performative nonsense.

@MrDomSmith That’s shocking what you’ve just said. So you think it’s okay to assault a minor - wow. I think you need to get another reporter to cover sport @standardsport if he thinks this is acceptable behaviour from a football player.

The ball boy who Pedro Neto pushed last night obviously deserved an apology, which Neto gave both to him and on air in an interview afterwards. But he didn’t deserve Neto’s shirt, which he also gave him. Made such a meal of the shove from Neto. Football increasingly a sport that, on the pitch, off the pitch, and now by the side of the pitch, rewards people for deliberately overreacting. What do you tell the grandkids? “I got shoved by Pedro Neto, and after rolling on the floor for ages I got his shirt.”

Caicedo & Josh v Leeds. Fofana Burnley. Sanchez & Neto at Arsenal. Chalobah, Jorgensen and James tonight. Four excellent performances ruined by sloppy, avoidable mistakes. This team can't get out of its own way. The absolute worst way to fail in any sport. So frustrating.

@MyersMyers28 @EssexPR I suspect a party with no actual coherent policy or any semblance of economic nouse, that's entire existence is dependent upon a particular discourse to foster division and blindly rally ignorant voters, will find it incredibly difficult to "move faster".

The desperation and lengths to which the Green Party will go to attract the Muslim vote in Gorton & Denton is truly remarkable. Adverts in Urdu and Bangla. Dressing in traditional Muslim outfits. Now this. What a shit show of a political party.

@CFCRobL It's pretty cyclical too, as a lot of commentators will just regurgitate what ever the common discourse around a player/thing/event is, rather than actually providing any original though, research or evidence. Standard of football production in general is not high.

@theboygosling @atr0phis @SkyNews As for the economy as a whole, I can't imagine a second run of Jenrick, Dorries, Braverman, Zahawi, alongside the man to deliver the biggest self-harm to the economy in recent memory, will provide the answers. But those nice little lies they tell are seemingly very convincing.

@theboygosling @atr0phis @SkyNews "Effectively in a recession" - well, that just isn't true. And the narrative is absolutely important when you have a group of grifters successfully using disinformation to convince people problems lie with migration, from which the net-effect on the economy is typically positive.

@CFC12thMan @SkyNews And further to this, how is this sustainable when the people on welfare is now 9 million and rising? A bigger population with more people reliant on the state and the economy with next to no growth Genuine question

@theboygosling @atr0phis @SkyNews The irony of you talking about economic illiteracy is not unnoticed here. Still waiting for a response on the net-impact of migration upon GDP and the exchequer. But of course, you don't get fed that information because it doesn't fit the narrative.

@atr0phis @CFC12thMan @SkyNews No matter how much or how little they get, all the cost is a burden upon the tax payer who are continuing to be asked to contribute more because the economic illiteracy of this government is crippling our country. We have next to no growth and no plan to arrest that slide

@theboygosling @SkyNews Have you considered the net-impact of migration on UK GDP and the exchequer? And how that correlates with living standards? Or do we only take into account the select figures certain parties want people to see?

@CFC12thMan @SkyNews 6.7m Foreign Nationals of whom 1.9m rely on our benefits system to the tune of £9b to the tax payer. You might be happy with that, but myself and a hell of a lot of people aren’t when we see our own living standards deteriorate. This will be reflected in upcoming elections
