@ChessExplained Hi Mr Sielecki, just a quick thank you for your work in New In Chess Magazine. Going through the Keymer game now and love how you didn't mention 22. Nxf4 which I would have played in a heartbeat. 22.gxf4 has made me think, a great thing. 😀

@ehscho @Kaldas90 I combine the almond milk with Skyr or Greek Yoghurt for more protein. I wasn’t aware that soy milk has protein, but certainly makes sense.

Coconut oatmeal. BTW, people who eat oatmeal using water not milk are dangerous to society and should be locked.

@gmmds @ehscho I tried 3+10, one draw after 8 losses. The draw was an endgame with still the knight up - dang!

@ChessExplained @ehscho Yeah… I’m seeing people trying 3+10 but without much success either. One 2400-2500 player I was watching is down 69-0 (he was playing that increment when I was watching - don’t know whether all the games were like that) It basically looks like playing Magnus at blitz!

Flintstoning taught me that sometimes the most boring, repetitive work is what sets your startup apart. It helps you stay close to your product and your users. Want to build something great? Start by powering the car with your feet. 🛠️ #startups #entrepreneurship (5/5)

Starting a successful startup isn’t all glamorous launches and seamless automation. Sometimes, it’s about rolling up your sleeves and doing what doesn’t scale. 💪 Here’s how I "Flintstoned" @Chessable to life and why this approach laid the groundwork for our success. 🧵👇 (1/5)

@gmmds @ehscho I tried playing the knight odds bot in 3+2, no chance at all. I essentially always blunder stuff under huge time pressure, because the bot moves instantly. probably need more increment to be somewhat competitive.

@ehscho 😊 Leela is going all out for activity, so often giving up pawns just to have as many open lines as possible. I’ve watched quite a few games now and it seems really difficult indeed to deal with Leela’s irritations and keep the time going as well. I think it’s good practice!

@Kaldas90 @lichess Haha! One of the guys who just finds the only small hole in a line you play?! I had some of those as well, good way to identify cheaters if you have more info that backs it.

@LawrenceTrentIM I actually think to make norms the requirement to play people of GM-strength(Elo 2500) or IM-strength(2400) makes more sense than playing people with the title. Because usually the titled players are not at their peak anymore...

Putting the dodgyness of this whole episode aside, should GMs or IMs who lose a disproportionate amount of Elo relative to their title eg a GM being published at 2200 or an IM at 2100 actually have their titles revoked? I think it's a serious discussion to be had.
Kamil Plichta@Kaldas90

-300 points on k=10 in 4 months for a GM - from 2316 to 2025 in 10 tournaments. Looks like Chennai is a pretty attractive place for norm seekers! I wonder when FIDE will start banning such tournaments. This is a big problem that is not being discussed enough.
