@VeganLinked @Mangan150 while amylase secretion is beneficial to starch digestion, that "mere thought" sounds more like a "pavlov's dog" learned reaction to modern foods than an evolutionary trait. prehistoric man did not have access to abundant, year-round sugars until AFTER the advent of agriculture.

"Eat your vegetables, take a multivitamin and get your steps." That's the normie longevity advice. It sounds reasonable... But that's not what the research actually says:

Name ONE reason why Bitcoin blocks should stay small while: • Storage is 100x cheaper than 2010 • Bandwidth is 1000x faster • We have terabyte drives in our pockets I'll wait. ⏰ #Bitcoin #BigBlocks

@CoineliusX @DevelopingZack there’s no reason to use btc as e-cash because we have Venmo, PayPal, credit cards etc. Btc is a store of value and CAN be used as e-cash anytime anyone wants to use it. The fact that it’s a decentralized peer to peer e-cash network, is what makes it a store of value.

Don’t get attached to Btc being usable as P2P cash, yes it’s cheap enough to use for now with the mempool emptying so quickly and fee rate low, but as the world banks and institutions ramp up settlement transactions those fees will ramp up significantly as well. Yes, maybe it will be worth making an on-chain transaction with a $100 fee to buy a car or something, but otherwise you are much better off spending that $100 to onboard to LN instead so you can use it for regular payments. Or just don’t spend your Bitcoin, that’s a good option too.

@DevelopingZack @CoineliusX What is your point exactly? Btc is a settlement lawyer and a store of value. Btc is also peer to peer e cash. So what is your point?

@CryptoInfinitum @CoineliusX I never said that. Peer to Peer is the title of the white paper. “Settlement layer” and “store of value” appear zero times in the white paper.

@NickSzabo4 Not true. Our bodies can digest both meat and plants. Digesting meat puts more stress on the organs than plants. The carnivore diet is literally a starvation diet, and the body is put under immense stress when plants and carbs are not available. Also major digestive damage.

@DevelopingZack @CoineliusX How is btc not peer to peer now? I can send btc to any address i want. Just because people won’t be buying Starbucks on chain doesn’t mean it’s not peer to peer.

@blueslide7777 @Eduardo08002996 @JamesFLoveIV And what would the price of gold and silver be without monetary and investment premiums that comes from investors? Gold would be &200-$500 per ounce and silver would be between $20-$40 per ounce.

Crypto’s entire value was created by marketing. That’s why there are so many accounts on X hyping crypto. They own it. If you buy it, theirs becomes more valuable because of the demand they create. It’s literally a Ponzi Scheme. It’s “0’s” and “1’s” in a computer… Nothing.

@OwenBenjamin Do you people realize that the intrinsic value of gold is about $200 an ounce. Meaning if gold hs no monetary premium and was only used for making gold teeth and jewelry, the price would dump 99%. There is a monetary premium on gold because it’s stacked in govt bank vaults.

@figmartini @SVR_Armani @JohnVerrine @SamaHoole Insulin resistance is caused by a high fat diet. When you overeat fat, the body stores it in the muscles and liver. This blocks insulin from storing glycogen properly in the muscles. When you cut the fat the body can easily store glycogen again.

@SVR_Armani @JohnVerrine @SamaHoole Diabetes is caused by insulin resistance, which comes from eating more carbs than your body can handle. I’d be interested in knowing how low fat, high carb brought down the insulin levels.

"High protein keeps you full." Except protein is a terrible energy source. Your body doesn't want to burn protein for fuel. It needs it for structure. So you eat 200g protein daily and wonder why you're constantly hungry despite feeling "full." Because fullness ≠ satiety. Your body is asking for ENERGY. You're giving it BUILDING BLOCKS. It's like your car needs petrol and you keep adding oil. Yes, both are liquids. No, that doesn't help. Protein triggers satiety hormones initially, sure. But if you're not providing adequate fat for energy, that satiety signal gets overridden by "we need actual fuel" within hours. This is why bodybuilders on high-protein, low-fat diets are hungry every 2 hours and need 6 meals daily. They're eating tons of food but starving for energy. Fat is energy. Protein is not. If you're trying to lose weight by eating high protein with minimal fat, you're fighting your body's fundamental energy requirements. You'll lose. Eventually. Every single time. The hunger always wins.

Silver just broke $100. Back in Dec. 2024, when HODLers were celebrating at Bitcoin $100K parties, they should’ve traded their Bitcoin for silver. Had they done that, they would have almost four times as much money today. The good news is that it’s not too late to make the trade.

@RiggsBTC Btc hits these gaps because of its volatility. Basically most people have it backwards. The gaps don’t cause the volatility, instead the volatility fills the gaps.

What is incredible is that there have been 80 total CME gaps in the history of BTC Futures (since December 2017) and only *one* gap has not been hit. $21k. That makes this tool 98.75% accurate — one of the greatest bitcoin price metrics out there, whether you like it or not.

Over the past eight months, as the Fed & ECB have been cutting interest rates and assuring the public that #inflation was headed toward 2%, the CRB commodity index soared 33% (38% in euros), closing at a 14-year high. We're on the cusp of the greatest global inflation in history.

@Cobratate @iAnonPatriot That’s not how things work. The dollar is backed by the ability of the us tax payer to pay off the national debt without having to print money to pay it back. Violence has nothing to do with the value of the dollar and more war actually decreases the value of the dollar.
