@MjTheHunter Any use of AI, no matter how small, it needs to be slapped on there. Period. You give these worms an inch, they take a mile. The line is the fact that AI exists when it shouldn't have.

With the Steam AI tag being included in the system requirements now, how many devs will properly declare their AI use? Where do we actually draw the line? As soon as you have a single line of code done by AI, do you have dialogoue written with the help of AI?

Another way to think about it is that you can play with character modeling and texturing today. Iteration time is incredibly low and you can have fun. Nobody is playing around with hair and fur. It's a highly deliberate task that takes ages to get right

Hair and fur is one of the last big "unsolved" parts of 3D. Hugely important for nearly all characters, yet it's extremely time consuming and technical to get it to look good.
