@AmateurStokGuru @GordanMihaela1 I think the stat I read is 60% of ocean garbage is fishing related. 40% of the garbage in a patch the size of Texas still seems like something we can contribute to improving. I hope society can depolarize soon, COVID has really amplified the all or nothing rhetoric

@DanStanton76 @GordanMihaela1 Hi Dan: BTW have you read Patrick Moores book "Fake Catastrophes?" He is one of Canada's preeminent environmentalists and co-founder of Greenpeace. He argues the supposed garbage patch is mostly fish netting cut loose, and not nearly what is claimed.

My 7 yo son got home from school saying: we need to save the planet, we can’t used plastic anymore! Hmmm 🤔 I took away every single electronic device with plastic and not allowed him to be used . A few hours later he given up on Climate Change propaganda…🙄

@AmateurStokGuru @GordanMihaela1 Stopping a kid from improving the planet. How did we get to this black and white stance over everything. Oil is obviously useful forever but do we need a great pacific garbage patch just cause we refuse to meet in the middle

OK, here we go: how do you feel about the new Cdn health recommendations of a two drinks a week limit? Is it changing your alcohol consumption? Should governments bring in tobacco-like policies for alcohol? It's our topic on Cross Country Checkup Sunday and you can reply now.

Much of on farm research is 1) can I pull it off operationally?, 2) is it a crop failure or yield level that I can live with? 3) can I repeat the results? Forget trying to do stats if your trying to push the envelope. That can come later if need be.

Dear Mr. Woodcroft, Please explain why Puljujärvi keeps getting reduced ice time in the 3rd period even when he’s having his typically strong game. Better yet, stop doing that. The numbers don’t support whatever you think you are doing. Sincerely, a very frustrated fan.

@heggie17 @CropProCory How is the disease in the pea canola vs straight peas? Rotation matters less if the disease pressure drops significantly from the diversity in the intercrop

@CropProCory What’s your plans going forward on this land? By intercropping you’ve now introduced a pulse and canola in the same year. What do you grow for the next 3 years now for a proper rotation?

(1/4) Harvest update on our replicated intercrop trials. Standing on line of canola (L) and VR intercrop pea canola (R). Peas on each side of both. The pea canola looks the best on all replicates and I think it will win the best yield and ROI versus monoculture.

A note on Covid: July 6, 2021, when vaccines were less prevalent, the US was averaging about 14,000 new infection per day. One year later, we’re at 114,000. One year ago, we were averaging 260 covid deaths per day; now we are closing in on 400 per day!
