If a Pakistani citizen spent $150,000,000 electing Trump and then he recognizes Kashmir as Pakistani and bombs India, I don’t think we would have any quibble about whether Pakistan was bribing Trump.
Yet we apply totally different rules to exempt Israel from scrutiny.

When I worked at Goldman Sachs we had an unwritten rule where we’d automatically approve an applicant’s loan if they were wearing a kippah, tallit, shtreimel, gartel, or similar
You can walk into any large bank wearing a kippah and they will give you a loan with zero interest. They won’t even check your credit score (yes, even if you’re black)

Bibi Netanyahu was originally scheduled as a featured speaker at this event before he cancelled. This has zero organic appeal in Europe, and hands the left perfect ammo to paint the populist right as a rootless, Trump-centric import blindly co-signing Likud Zionism even as Europeans watch their standard of living deteriorate because of it.

Can’t remember the last time I said “that’s the last straw” while literally pointing at the last straw. Nor do I remember looking at the clock at 11:59 and saying “call it a day!” No harm done literally is said after the opposite is true. It goes on and on, with nearly every example you claim is literally used. Moron.

"I couldn't care less what you do with your life" despite, at some level, actually probably caring.

@lporiginalg @9mmsmg I've never once heard an English or British person for that matter in my life invert the expression like that. I've only ever heard Americans do it. Whether you agree with the semantics of calling it an idiom or not, people just do not say that in the UK

@DefiSummer2020 @9mmsmg I am ethnically English as was my grandmother who's parents both came to Canada from England and that's how she said it. My grandma never scored less than 300 in a game of Scrabble.

@lporiginalg @9mmsmg Not sure why that would matter. I am English and that's how we say and write it. Americans have butchered many idioms, phrases and spellings. This is just one of them
