@BowTiedYukon U do understand some ppl are dangerous regardless of age? Mike Tyson is old as hell but I'd still never step into the ring with him. His fight with Paul might've been staged but he got no reason to pull punches with me. Grandad is a marine vet and he still beats asses

@GearMentation @rand_longevity We need to get full body rejuvenation first if it’s even possible, then we look into stopping it, maybe stopping it could be the best approach anyway since I imagine that stopping it would be amping human regeneration

@BottomClaudia @uTobian Too many kids these day are single kids without siblings. 30 years from now there be too many old people, too few young people. Society collapse. The only solution is reverse aging pills over the counter so there won't be any old people.

@ahmadfirask @newlimit @foundersfund is it a bad thing to want to live longer? should we all just embrace mortality? what’s the point seeking comfort & well being in modern medicine if we end up dead anyway?

Following breakthrough results, we’re bringing longevity medicine to human trials. We’ve raised a $435M Series C led by @foundersfund to make it happen. Reprogramming cell age has the potential to create more healthy years for everyone. We're closer than ever to realizing it.

Aging is arguably the root cause of most major diseases (loss of function in our cells). Four years ago, we made a bet that aging was treatable, and NewLimit was born. NewLimit now has a prototype drug that reverses the age of some human cells (restores function they had when they were younger), and a clinical trial scheduled for next year (with more drug candidates in the pipeline). Grateful to Founders Fund, Thrive, Greenoaks, and the rest of the investors for this latest round. @jacobkimmel and the team are just getting started.

@hemlogooseguys @rand_longevity You are right that a Truly eternal life could be a torture eventually, but I still would choose it over death maybe i will regret it later but I love life even though i have lived a pretty bad one, at the very least i don’t want to decay until in not myself anymore

First, I want to clarify that what I said earlier was an opinion, not a statement of fact. Of course we can create different kinds of meaning throughout our finite lives. But now imagine a truly eternal life, one where you are completely invincible and cannot die, not just a very long one. I believe that in such a life, meaning would eventually dissolve. Over infinite time, you would exhaust all truly new experiences. Everything you could possibly feel, discover, or achieve would eventually repeat, probably countless times. At that point, the chance of encountering anything that still feels genuinely meaningful becomes vanishingly small. It’s like an infinite story with no ending. Even the best stories grow stale when they never conclude, because there are only a finite number of truly fresh narratives and emotional arcs. Eventually, everything starts repeating the same core patterns. Yes, if you stop existing you can no longer have meaning but you also lose the consciousness required to care about its absence.

@HumanitasPrima @davidasinclair I don’t know, everytime he talks he seems to be cautious about his wording, like suggesting amortality without suggesting it, if you see his Star Talk appearance he said “We might get fully body reversal in our life times” when a nice experiment worked

This has always confused me. If we can fix epidemic drift and revert old cells to their younger form, couldn’t we just keep doing this indefinitely? Barring acts of god such as getting hit by a car or struck by lightning, is there any reason why we couldn’t just keep resetting the cells indefinitely to be perpetually 25 or 30 or whatever the agreed upon appropriate age might be so that we can live forever? Or is there a limit to the number of times that cells can be reset for some reason? I suppose ‘beating death’ in a literal sense is an exaggeration because it doesn’t take into account external physical trauma that might result in death, but for the purposes of aging it’s a pretty apt description, no?

most people have no idea it's happening Putin just committed $26B to prove otherwise. organ printing. cryotherapy. genetics. Kremlin priority but he is late to the party - Life Biosciences already has FDA clearance to reverse cellular aging in humans. results drop later this year - retatrutide just showed 30% bodyweight loss in phase 3. the body is programmable -Altos Labs mapped 100+ genes linked to cellular youth. they are now repurposing drugs that already exist to hit them - AI tested 43,529 longevity interventions, flagged the best candidates, and validated them in aged mice. no human researcher is required the science declared war on aging years ago the science is winning bio/acc
Max Marchione@maxmarchione

For the very rich, the chase for "eternal life" has become something of a vocation, and one deemed hopeless for the average human. That is slowly changing. Diagnostics have never been cheaper, the therapeutics keep getting better, and AI is sharper than ever. You may never have their wealth, but you'll have their health, and that matters more. We're entering the era of concierge care for the masses.

@rand_longevity Rand if you had a pill that made you invincible to everything, would you take it? If not, why not? Living is worth it because there is an end, and a story without an end is not interesting, and maybe sometimes horrific.
