My interest rate was about 9%.
I didn’t demand all the best, fixed it up as I could afford to, and furnished it from garage sales and auctions.
We are not the same.

Boomer here. I bought my first house after ten years of saving like crazy. And the interest was 14.5%. I don’t know where kids got the idea that they were due a house and new car at college graduation, but that’s NOT how it ever was.

Then he says it: the price isn’t changing.
No increase. No timeline. No “we’ll revisit.”
In 2026… while food prices keep climbing… this one thing is locked in place.
First the McDonald’s CEO goes viral eating his own $12 "product."
Now the Costco CEO eats a $1.50 hot dog.
Same move… completely different message.

@georg3 @nxthompson Also, you can enter the country legally and overstay to become undocumented or an illegal alien. This happens to many people who have a legitimate visa and then apply for different visas, where you technically cannot leave the country, but you are not here “legally”

Narcan became widely available toward the end of 2023. Police and Medics started saving OD's at a much higher rates, reducing deaths
