@serdiezv @casulopodre @BenjiNaesen @PeterStuart3 Go and listen to the podcast. He says exactly this.
The bike technology leap forward means that bikes are so out of date you can’t compete. Hence the statement, if you gave Pogi a 2018 bike, he wouldn’t be able to compete with the 2026 peloton.
English

@casulopodre @Doigeyboy @BenjiNaesen @PeterStuart3 That doesn't mean Pogačar wouldn't beat Thomas, they would all ride 2018 bikes. It's meant as "Pogačar can't beat the current peloton riding 2026 bikes if he was riding a 2018 bike"
English

Pogačar called the neutral service bike a 'wheelbarrow'.
Love that.

@LucGrefte I agree. But less. And I also agree with what others have said. The motos were not the same effect as at other races
English

@Doigeyboy It still matters a lot. Pog was doing 50km/h on the sectors
English

Not saying motos didn't matter, but I rewatched this and really don't see it.
First six kilometers Pogačar doesn’t even have a moto (unlike G1), and later Morgado and Politt don't even follow the TV moto because it's keeping a very good distance and thus not providing any draft

🇧🇪 Oliver Naesen reveals how motorbikes influenced 🇸🇮 Pogacar's 🇫🇷 Roubaix comeback “The motorbikes formed a wall in front of our group. Because of that, we were riding 15 kilometres per hour faster, together with Pogačar and his teammates.” 📰 domestiquecycling.com/en/news/motorb… 📸 Cor Vos

@dieworkwear Thank you Derek. I (probably amongst many) asked you this question. And I really appreciate the answer. And the insight behind it is, as always, fascinating.
English

@casulopodre @BenjiNaesen @PeterStuart3 Not at all. The bike technology has progressed so so much that a 2020 bike is light years slower than a current one. And this showed. Pogi was being overtaken by mid riders on that bike
English

@BenjiNaesen @PeterStuart3 Just proves what Geraint said, that there is no way Pogi could win the TDF on the bike which he won on
English

@PeterStuart3 Ironically, that bike's better than any bike I've ever ridden.
English

@Roadman_Podcast Just shows how right @GeraintThomas86 is when he was saying that no one could win big races now on the bikes he won the Tour on…
The technology leap forward has been ridiculous
English

@wahrstoetter @BenjiNaesen Prim van der Roggeveen you mean…he’s already in the red bull cloning vats…
English

So, the UCI results just changed P6 from Tim van Dijke to Mick van Dijke, because there was apparently some confusion about it.
Have we ever considered the possibility that Tim and Mick van Dijke switch places without us knowing, on a near-daily basis? #ParisRoubaix
English

@faustocoppi60 If he didn’t stop on purpose he certainly made up for it after this by absolutely burying himself to get Pogi back
English

It looks like Antonio Morgado saw Pogacar at the side of the road, why didn't he stop to give him his bike? 😰 Not that big difference in size. UAE messed it up yesterday big time just like Alpecin did.

@daniellloyd1 @WHOOP @GoZwift @bryan_johnson @KristenhCNN @JeremyPowers @Brady_H @foundmyfitness #Garmin would be calling her weak and shouting at her to do better…
English

Lorraine's @WHOOP metrics since she started doing twice weekly 45 minute @gozwift sessions. One zone 2, one Vo2 max.
This is on top of brisk (dog) walks, park run every other week and one or two sessions in the gym each week.
I'm incredibly proud of her. It's also an amazing case study of what you can achieve with consistency.
She recently turned 53, always been healthy and clean living, so these improvements are on top of someone already in a very good place.

English

Team cars, like the UAE one right now, should not be allowed to pass a group on the cobble sectors. That's so dangerous. #ParisRoubaix
English

@BenjiNaesen The mark of what a good guy he is is how may of his competitors congratulated him.
English

Wout van Aert dedicating his victory to Michael Goolaerts who passed away at Paris-Roubaix 2018 made me cry and I'm not ashamed of it. 💛
Class rider, but also a class human, always has been. #ParisRoubaix

@McInnispicks “I want to use the position I am in to prepare for the biggest competition of my year, and be able to spend more time with my family”
English

@BenjiNaesen @laflammerouge16 I’m hoping some of his point is exaggerated in translation?
English

@laflammerouge16 my takes look like vanilla ice cream compared to this

Chris Horner: "First rule here when you started Tour of Flanders: 'Do not pull Tadej Pogacar around'. Your SD, should be fired. You guys should be sent back to amateur level racing as all of you guys do not know how to race your bike whatsoever"

@BenjiNaesen I would love for him to win Roubaix because if he does I reckon he might retire
