Caught these lovely asphalt specular reflections outside. Is there a game where they're actually this long? I only remember UE Samaritan demo with the funny hacked BRDF with stretched vertical dir. Doing it properly needs supersampling...

@bgolus @guycalledfrank I had to add MSAA support to the deferred renderer to get buy-in for it, even though it's a terrible tech matchup. No one wanted to give up MSAA to go deferred and we had no alternative at the time.

@guycalledfrank My favorite rendering feature listed for the Sumaritan demo: "Deferred rendering with MSAA support" The year afterward they turned on TAA.

@EnDr_X @tillederdon @UnrealEngine You can get Height Fog on Lumen Reflections if you set r.Lumen.SampleFog 1, but not Volumetric Fog. VF uses some optimizations that only work for the primary view rays to be efficient, but we could do better than nothing.

Cause on my side on UE5.6 I cant get Volumetric Fog in reflections. I’m I crazy or missing something ? What you see at the bottom, on my capture is a simple reflective plane

After 17 years at Epic Games and an intense few years launching Lumen in UE5 with @knarkowicz, I'm in need of a break, so I'm going on an extended leave. Lumen isn't done of course, and work on it will continue, just without me for the time being.

@MittringMartin At least they let you save it to Keep now, and you can download from there. But anything high resolution will be downsampled, so you still need to keep the original. I can only imagine the bureaucracy that must exist to prevent such an obvious function from being added.

I love Google docs. But why there is no have context menu "save image"? Any why do I have to fiddle with size manually to place two images next to each other.
