To say I am upset & bewildered that the leader of my party @EdwardJDavey - who last year said ‘we’ - the @libdems - ‘entirely accept’ the SC judgment - has now put his name to this nonsense is the understatement of the year. Totally contradictory. Massively disappointing.

Ireland has played football matches against Nazi Germany, England, China, Qatar and the women’s team have played against North Korea. That the only time there was pause to discuss a boycott was before a match vs Israel is very telling.

@ApsanaBegumMP It’s not unprecedented. Pavlo Lapshyn was convicted of murder for the killing of Mohammed Saleem. The judge determined the motivation was terrorist-related and (rightly imo) added 10yrs to his 30yr sentence. *It literally happens all the time at point of sentencing*

Four of the Palestine Action protestors have been convicted by jury of criminal damage. At no point was it put to the jury that the judge may sentence them as terrorists.
