i’m giving a 1-year openwork den plan to the first person who guesses how many times i applied to yc.
reminder: openwork dens are hosted instances that keep your agents running 24/7.
one guess per person (bots get blocked).
Benjamin Shafii | OpenWork (YC P26)@benjaminshafii
happy to announce that @getopenwork is now part of yc. we’re building the open-source claude cowork alternative for companies that want to run agents in production. bring your own model/provider, wire in your tools + context, and ship reusable agent setups across your org with guardrails built in. less “chat with a bot.” more deployable ai teammates your team can actually use. (DMs open if you need help deploying this in your org)

We build Animal Fun on Solana.
But something was missing…
Then @toly arrived and fixed it:
Animal Fun → Animal Fun Community
Because that's what Solana is really about. 🫡

Rethinking Web3 Gaming: Why We Need Unkillable Games
We live in an era where you don’t actually own your games anymore, you just rent them until the publisher decides to turn off the servers.
Crypto has already shown us that this problem can be solved. Look at Decentralized Exchanges (DEXs) and DeFi protocols: they can never be arbitrarily shut down. Even if the website front-end goes offline, you can directly interact with the smart contract or build your own UI.
That is exactly what we are aiming for with our new game @fogohuntergame. We are deploying every key game mechanic on-chain. The map, the player movement, the combat, and even the NPC logic (down to requiring the hero to physically stand next to an NPC to interact with them) are all decentralized. With this architecture and our detailed developer guide, this game simply cannot be shut down. You could call it open-source Web3 gaming, because anyone can build their own custom UI, game client, or analytics tool on top of it.
If you are wondering about latency and gas fees for a fully on-chain game, we solved that by building on @fogo. By utilizing Fogo sessions paired with a paymaster, we offer a completely frictionless experience. Players don't even need to know they are playing on a blockchain, they don't need a wallet to start, and they don't pay gas. It just works.
The problem is, when you mention "crypto games" today, everyone immediately thinks about extraction. Most Web3 games I’ve seen over the last few years have a major flaw: they’re designed to line the developers' pockets first.
The math is simple: you can’t constantly extract value from the community and expect the ecosystem to thrive. If money only flows out, the underlying asset is destined to tank. To build a healthy economy, the value needs to stay inside the loop, and more importantly, real external value needs to flow in.
How We’re Changing the Game
We aren't just relying on the money players spend inside the game. We are combining our game with a broader ecosystem that includes our own DEX, marketplace, and much more DEFI comming. On top of that, we are monetizing the attention the game gets by integrating in-game product placements and partnership skins.
Instead of value leaking out, we’ve built a "flyback" system where every product exists to stabilize the game asset:
- Brand Partnerships & In-Game Purchases: Revenue from partnership skins and product placements brings fresh, external value directly into the ecosystem.
- Platform Fees: Cash-out fees, lending actions, and marketplace trades trigger token buybacks.
- DEX Routing: Every trade on our DEX funnels value back into the game treasury.
The Goal: An endless cycle where the economy feeds itself, putting tokens back into the hands of the players rather than just draining the liquidity pool.
As a proof of concept, we deployed this economy on the @fogo testnet to see if the mechanics would hold up and it is already working. In just 5 days, we managed to increase the price of our in-game asset token (earned 1:1 in-game as $COIN) from $0.001 to $0.051, while liquidity skyrocketed from $100k to $2.1M.
We are building an economy that gives back, and the architecture is finally here to support it.

@MaxResnick @MaxResnick it’s a good book, I read it a long time ago, R is good for statistics, but nowadays I prefer python for programming.

I think young people need to seriously start thinking about whether an undergraduate degree makes sense at this point.
The college curriculum is not nimble enough to adapt to change this rapid. Hence you will be learning “R for data science” and other useless “skills”. While your competition is re-wiring their brains to orchestrate agents.

@brian_armstrong @base coins gave crypto liquidity.
NFTs gave crypto identity.
on @base we are finally combining both:
- explode any image into a live NFT collection.
- mint on a curve. selling burns forever.
- designed for humans + autonomous agents.

Launch Update🦞
Given the current geopolitical instability and resulting market volatility, we have made the strategic decision to postpone the official launch. To ensure the best possible start for our community, we are waiting for a more stable market environment.
New Launch Date: We will announce the official date as soon as conditions stabilize.
In the meantime, we are accelerating our shipping schedule:
• Sol Dev OpenClaw: we are preparing the release of our newest feature—Solana development tools fused directly into OpenClaw, allowing you to sign transactions from the co-owner wallet.
• Educational Content: We are preparing a series of tutorial videos covering how to add LLM keys and connect socials like Telegram and Discord.
We appreciate your support and patience as we navigate these conditions. Stay tuned for the next updates.
