The deposit cap for Firelight has now increased! Following strong demand, users can deploy $FXRP into the Firelight vault, receive $stXRP, and generate Firelight Points while putting assets to work across @FlareNetworks DeFi.

Firelight is a protocol built around the idea of covered capital to help underwrite DeFi risk. High-quality external collateral can serve as first-loss protection for DeFi protocols, while giving asset holders a way to put passive assets to work. When a user stakes through @Firelightfi, the asset is locked or escrowed on its native chain, while a corresponding representation is created in the DeFi environment where the protocol operates. That asset representation is deposited into a Reserve Vault managed by a qualified custodian, whose main role is to back Firelight’s cover portfolio. This expands the system’s underwriting capacity, allowing more cover to be written. In return, the staker receives a pro-rata claim on premiums and rewards.
