@MetaDemonReal Any HDMI-CRT converter will do it (higher quality the better) as long as your PC outputs HDMI. Otherwise if you use displayport only or somehow still use VGA, you'll need other adapters.

So I played Halo Campaign Evolved on a CRT TV and it was an absolute treat to play it like that! Truly nostalgia evolved! The game surprisingly looks pretty good while also have that retro feel on a CRT TV. #Halo Full video on my channel!

@MetaDemonReal Keep an eye out for the ones specifically advertised for retro gaming! Those are usually the better ones.

@MetaDemonReal You'll want to get a good HDMI-RCA converter. Not sure if you saw the gameplay footage yet but the converter I used kinda had parts of the image go off screen. Still playable but there's probably better converters out there.

@EzeL3199 @ChefandArbistor I mean yeah I didn't notice it myself in my own playthrough and recording. I'm fairly neutral on the subject personally. I agree most people won't notice it, but it's also true that it's there. So it is what it is. Doesn't really change my opinions either direction.

@Generalkidd @ChefandArbistor I get you, its just that, no one playing the game will see it frame by frame like this. Also imagine putting the controller down because the reload animation clipped. Idk man, what are we even doing anymore

Unfortunately, a lot of the new Campaign Evolved weapon animations are quite poor. We went from Infinite’s animations being quite honestly the peak of the franchise, to these which have regular clipping and odd blocking video from @Generalkidd

@EzeL3199 @ChefandArbistor Uhh for the record my footage wasn't slowed down lol. The original footage was just simply me showing the weapon in action, that's it.

@ChefandArbistor @Generalkidd Releasing a pre-release build to youtubers was a mistake. People are so starved for content that we're now slowing down videos frame by frame to have something to talk about. This has 0 impact on the enjoyability of the game

Here's the Fuel Rod Cannon in action in Halo Campaign Evolved! I'd say it pretty much works exactly as you'd expect it to. First time being able to use it in a Halo CE campaign (without modding lol) is pretty cool too! #Halo

@BTD_1092 Technically no since the original Halo CE main menu isn't available. Could use the Xbox 360 version of CE Anniversary though if you wanted to experience the classic main menu.

@Generalkidd Couldn't you just play Masterchief collection using the original graphics setting?

@tyloblivion My goal one day is to be able to rent an actual imax theater to play Halo on it. But apparently renting imax theaters is difficult. Seems like a lot of theaters often don't make those rentable. 😢

@Generalkidd that is actually a pretty cool and neat thing to do. now play the original halo ce in an imax theatre lol. that would be peak in its own way.

@mrgreencastle @yipyapsilon @official_smugs Oh it red ringed alright lol, twice. But both times the replacement console they sent me did not have the HDMI upgrade.

@yipyapsilon @official_smugs My primary 360 still uses component cables. I never upgraded to the HDMI models and stuck with the original models this whole time.

@NamiRespecter Nah it's not actually in native 4:3. That's the HDMI -> RCA converter kind of squishing the image into something close to 4:3. Surprisingly looks pretty decent though.

@iNocturne Yeah agreed, simulated CRT effects while cool sometimes just don't hit the same as genuine CRT

@Generalkidd I hate processed crt effect but classic one with camera is perfect.

I see a lot of people asking for a Campaign Evolved demo, but no one asking for the most important part of a potential Campaign Evolved demo: Johnson telling you to buy the full game (heck, buy two!)
