What if I told you the whole topic of the Strait of Hormuz is a shiny object to distract from the entire objective of the war? What if I then told you since the Strait represents zero leverage over the actual combatants involved and the countries it holds leverage over have disincentives the relevant parties from prioritizing this reality? Would you then understand that it holds zero actual power in “ceasefire negotiations”? Instead it represents a leverage point for POTUS in public discourse. In the end, the goals of crippling then toppling the regime remain. Because it frees a nation and literally takes from the CCP its most valuable asset in Brics, belt and road and the broader scheme for the mythical multi polarization of geopolitics. That’s the regime occupying Iran. And while the western world is distracted, Chinese proxy states are clear eyed about how China is incapable of saving its crown jewel while the US and Israel rapidly degrade it into oblivion.
