After serious conversations with both the Rams and Patriots, the Eagles will not trade A.J. Brown at this time, according to multiple league sources.
Both teams remain interested, but no move is imminent. If a trade were to happen, it would likely heat up closer to June 1.

Reading the tea leaves. (I don't have any updated sourced knowledge of this situation; this is my educated guess at what's going on.)
The #Rams don't seem, in my mind, to be a serious potential destination for A.J. Brown. It just feels unrealistic to afford everyone they have.
They also need to budget for Jared Verse, Puka Nacua, and Byron Young extensions.
This feels like an attempt to get another team "involved" to drive up a potential return for Brown from New England. I don't foresee Howie Roseman trading his superstar wide receiver to a team in the same conference, not to mention one that they more than likely will see in an important playoff game at some point.

@StormLord96 @NewEraPatriots_ @Savageboston No, thats the point. The dead cap affects the 26 cap. Extensions affect their future cap space, which they would have more of if they traded him. So trading him HELPS extent guys. It doesnt hurt their ability to do that, its the opposite.
