This is the guy Greg Abbott gave billions in tax breaks to so he could suck up our water and cause our electric bills to skyrocket. Fire Greg Abbott. He’s compromised by corruption. This isn’t about the party flag that you wave. This is about TEXAS. Stop fighting and start VOTING.

A lot has happened, but not much has changed.

In Texas, A 18-year-old girl experienced a miscarriage at around six months pregnant. She visited emergency rooms three times over about 20 hours. On her second visit, she screened positive for sepsis, but doctors discharged her because the fetus still had a heartbeat, saying she was "fine to leave." On the third visit, an OB-GYN insisted on two ultrasounds to "confirm fetal demise" before admitting her to intensive care. She died hours later from sepsis complications. Her mother later said it felt like doctors were more concerned about the fetal heartbeat than her daughter's life.

In the United States we need hundreds of new hospitals and health clinics. We need thousands of new child care centers. We need millions of new units of affordable housing. We do NOT need to spend another $500 billion on the military for endless wars.

While we focus on the “big” stuff, Abbott is just quietly padding his buddies pockets with our tax dollars. I have a (relatively) small platform. I wish there were a way to reach voters about what is ACTUALLY happening with our state resources. If we cut out the backroom grift, we could have stronger public services AND lower taxes. The depths of the corruption won’t be fully known until we get rid of the man behind it all. Fire Abbott. Elect @GinaHinojosaTX

Late last night, Olivia Andre returned home to Maine. After six long months locked away in Dilley in violation of federal law, she is finally reunited with her family, friends, and a community that welcomes her with open arms. We fought like hell to make this happen. And we will continue to fight until every child, every family, every person is released and the Dilley Trailer Prison is shutdown for good.

UPDATE—18 year old boy dying of cancer finally gets his wish to hug his parents one last time. It took 57 hours—after federal judge ordered his parents' expedited removal from ICE detention. Terminally ill boy had been separated from his mom and dad for a total of 5 months.

Whether you like or hate him, @grahamformaine becoming the presumptive nominee proves Dem voters in some states are done taking orders from DC powerbrokers, elite pundits & the professional liberal political class & its fanbase — and that has enraged that class & those fans. This isn’t really a statement of opinion or even a value judgment — it’s a statement of fact about an indisputable reality. His whole candidacy threatens the power and relevance of a very specific and loud part of the political class that feels entitled to power and relevance — and they are angry about the situation. The good news for Platner and anyone who wants Dems to win back the Senate is that this particular part of the liberal/Dem media/political class is small and doesn’t appear to represent the feelings of voters who will decide the election — indeed, polls suggest Dem voters are disgusted with their party’s machine. We will see if that holds — but that’s where we are right now.

We’re all in the same boat. It’s not liberal vs. conservative. It’s all of us vs. 15 dudes at the top.
