Me and my 3 kids having lunch at Chick-fil-A. I swear 10 years ago this was the price of a sit down meal at a restaurant for us with 20% tip included.

@StealthQE4 Most vehicles get at least 20 miles per gallon. 20 mile Uber trip with gas up $2 / gallon should only be $2 more. Stop exaggerating about it being the price of gas.

Observation: LYFT and UBER prices are soaring thanks to gas prices. I’m paying close to double for rides now vs a few months ago. Don’t blame them. Gas is up. The problem is who can afford to go out if an UBER round trip is $50?

A couple of people asked me for a low-fi demo of Arccos Air (which I did record), but I hadn’t seen this video from Fitzy and it honestly does a better job than I did. Check it out, lmk if any questions.

@rossmacleodputt Can someone please explain to me how it identifies which club you are hitting without a sensor? Arccos refuses to answer that question. They are very vague saying "It magically tracks shots and doesn't need any input". How does the magic work?

Now that Arccos have got rid of sensors people are saying they were bad. I use Shotscope with sensors and don’t even notice them. Why are the sensors bad? Is this something a lot of people say? Whatever product they use.

Jessica finished her CS degree at a top-tier public university in December with $174k in federal loans and a 3.91 GPA She's submitted 1,203 applications since graduation Got callbacks from exactly 7 companies. Made it to final rounds at 2. Both went with "no junior hires this cycle" The feedback is always the same: "We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running with AI tooling" Last week she interviewed at a Series B fintech that posted an "Associate Software Engineer" role The engineering manager was honest: "This role used to be for bootcamp grads and new CS majors. Now we need someone who can manage 3 AI agents and review their output at senior level" The salary range dropped from $95k to $68k because "the AI does most of the actual coding" Her algorithms professor still brags about 98% job placement rates from 2019-2022 Jessica's working retail at Target while her loan payments kick in next month $1,847 monthly minimum on a $16/hour Target salary She keeps getting LinkedIn ads for "AI Bootcamps" promising to make her "recession-proof" The same bootcamps now cost $24k because they know desperate CS grads will pay anything Her former classmates who got hired? They're all at consulting firms or doing product management The ones still coding are mostly maintaining legacy systems at banks, waiting for those to get automated too Yesterday she got an email from her university asking for a donation to the new "AI Ethics Research Center" But sure, keep telling kids that computer science is a stable career path

it’s insane to me how many people in the tech community can’t wrap their minds around the macbook neo. what is such an enigma about it? it’s a $600 laptop from apple made for people who do some typing, do some streaming, do some researching, and do some socializing.

@dollarsanddata There are 2 types of investors: 1.Control, leverage, cash flow, tax advantages 2.Click buttons and hope the market goes up “Return on hassle” = you don’t have systems Real estate done right = a machine Different game. Different mindset.

Even if your rental properties do outperform the market (unlikely), when you include the "return on hassle", it's not even close. The cost of your time, dealing with tenants, etc., is far higher than a few percentage points a year.
Mikli@CryptoMikli

Caleb Hammer reveals his biggest money mistake was buying rental properties instead of investing in the market “I made decent money, but I would have made so much more money by just being in the market instead of focusing on that. My rental properties back in my home state, I am fully exiting them and just putting the money in the market.”

@dollarsanddata If you are spending a lot of time managing your properties, then you are a slumlord. All my properties are homes that I would live in and require nothing more than normal maintenance as though I were living there.

- Target can't seem to take accountability. - Walmart wants to do dynamic pricing. - Doordash is slipping in extra fees. - Uber randomly hikes prices and have some drivers doing workarounds for "ghost rides". - Gas is back up to over $3.50-$6. - More people than ever work multiple jobs to cover bills & expenses. - Minimum wage hasn't budged. - False job postings are filling the market. - Currently apart of a war we didn't ask for. - Healthcare costs are unaffordable. - Mental health and wellness at an all-time crisis point. - Government funding is being cut left & right for necessary services and programs. if you feel overwhelmed as hell right now, you should.
More Perfect Union@MorePerfectUS

Walmart is rolling out digital price tags at all of its stores. At the same time, the corporate giant just secured a patent for "dynamically and automatically updating item prices.” Plus another patent for using machine learning to predict demand and recommend prices.
