One of the sources said Hegseth wants someone in the role who will implement President Trump and Hegseth's vision for the Army.

'CRUCIAL LEGAL VICTORY': A federal appeals court ruled 2–1 that the Trump admin can lawfully deny bond hearings to illegal immigrants.
Circuit judge Edith H. Jones wrote in the majority opinion that "unadmitted aliens apprehended anywhere in the United States are ineligible for release on bond, regardless of how long they have resided inside the United States."
AG Bondi called the ruling a "crucial legal victory" in support of Trump's agenda and a "significant blow against activist judges."
