This is a main route to the Lincoln tunnel.
2 lanes to tunnel will back up while a truck unloads = gridlock. DOT states that this design “requires a 20% reduction in all vehicles” incl. buses.
But UberEats and DoorDash need more free ebike parking, so nothing else matters.

The "ISIS brides" who wound up in Syria during the civil war were all from affluent families in the West. This should not surprise anyone.
I knew a guy who I suspect married a former ISIS bride. She was half-Lebanese, half-Austrian, grew up in LA, and he met her in Iraq. During a conversation, he elliptically mentioned that "she can't go back to the U.S." (this was in Mexico). She was also bisexual and signed onto his crackpot scheme to marry three other women in the Islamic style. No further comment.

Ticketing cyclists more aggressively than drivers never made sense. Kudos to the Mamdani administration for reversing this.
It is important that everyone follow the rules of the road - but a delivery worker missing a stop sign shouldn’t get swept up in deportation proceedings.
