@sciqst @MolMetab Yes, with the multiple targets and pathways we identified, they are all can be targets for novel therapy development.

Congratulations on the publication, it's intriguing to see histone acetylation taking a central role in energy storage regulation. How do you think these insights might affect therapeutic approaches for metabolic disorders? Could this lead to potential biomarkers for disease states based on acetylation profiles? Both "active" and "passive" acetylation balancing mechanisms seem like an intricate dance, potentially opening novel avenues in epigenetic therapy. For more in-depth discussions and to explore further biomedical reviews, Sci-Quest offers an excellent platform at sciqst.com. #Epigenetics #Medicine

Our collaborative study with Dr. Qiong Duan on histone acetylation regulated energy storage is now published @MolMetab. We established more understanding on how "active" acetylation vs "passive" acetylation balanced each other at different states. molecularmetabolism.com/article/33284/…

With better understanding of proteosome machinery, hopefully, we can come up more and more cool idea to utilize the system for novel therapy development.

New research in @angew_chem by @DanaFarber’s @JunQiLab reveals a novel chemical biology approach to achieving selective targeted protein degradation using proteosome cap region proteins directly in addition to the current PROTAC strategy, which could aid in developing therapies and cancer drugs. ➡️ bit.ly/4rbilu9

It is so exciting to see the final version of our collaborative work with @LabSethi. We found that blocking HDAC1/2 pushes CRC cells out of a stem-like state and into differentiation. We will work tother more to find novel therapeutic options for CRC. authors.elsevier.com/c/1m7oK3mEmnPKi

A great collaboration with my friend @JunQiLab. We screened a small molecule library targeting epigenetic regulators curated by Jun’s team using our dual reporter system. The ensuing mechanistic work required innovative chemical and rigorous molecular biology.

Lucas was diagnosed with high-risk ALL in 2023 after what seemed like growing pains. He’s endured intense treatment but remains “everyone’s friend,” spreading kindness & joy. His final chemo dose is set for July 2025. 💛 Drop words of encouragement below as he continues to fight.
