@vihaaneaswar @theblockm Really excellent article! Thank you for sharing it.

Nick Moldenhauer’s learned to expect the unexpected. But no matter what life’s thrown at him, thanks to the love of his younger brother, he’s always come back stronger.
My feature on Nick for @theblockm:

@matthew_auch I’m old enough (yikes!) to remember when the song came out and still didn’t know the meaning behind it. Thank you for enlightening me. Loved the article!

Pretty confident this is the only story I’ll ever write that will feature an armadillo, Morgan Wallen, the Iranian Revolution and Luca Fantilli. How “Rock the Casbah” by The Clash came to be Michigan’s win song.

@nazzobetweeting You just hadddd to post it. I hope you lost your job. Do something for once without posting it for strangers

confession time: last year i told my boss i was “sick” so i could take a sick day to be able to take the vintage train to yankee stadium for opening day. thought i’d be lowkey abt it and he’d never find out but then the video i posted of it went mega viral and got featured on sports illustrated, espn, mlb tv 😂😂😂 so much for being lowkey oops 🙊

@KPA2 @ChrisLMcKenna @GeneralHospital Well it is the oath Lucas took as a surgeon to save the lives of people he operates on. But the guilt though of saving the life of the man who killed his boyfriend will devastate Lucas emotionally. Remember when Portia saved Drew's life on the operating table?
English

@oh_donny_boy_ @AlanSarapa @TVFan43 I was expecting him to go out saving Lucas’s life. 🤷♀️ Jumping in front of a bullet or something.
English

@AlanSarapa @TVFan43 I think Marcos’ death adds to this story immensely! I’ve been saying he was going to be first casualty for a while, I just didn’t think Cullum would stab the ever loving f*ck out of him! I figured he’d get caught in Sonny and Sidwell’s crossfire.

I do wonder if Adrian Anchondo was fired to pay for Nathan Dean since we don't know how long he's staying and it isn't like he has anything better to do so it might be a long-term contract. Soaps have a finite amount of money to play with. #GH

@HollensbeAmanda I think about you guys daily. And will continue to pray for you all and Braelyn. My Dad is battling the same thing. We just got home from Duke University to try a new approach. Praying for healing! 🙏 ❤️

Braelyn’s story (please read)
For those who are new here or just finding us, I wanted to share a clear update on our daughter.
Braelyn is 18 and fighting an aggressive brain tumor.
In early March, her condition suddenly worsened. What started as an 11 mm midline shift progressed to 19 mm in less than two weeks — we were in a race against time.
We flew to UCLA where Dr. Linda Liau performed a complex brain surgery and was able to remove ~90% of the tumor and relieve the pressure on her brain.
That surgery saved her life.
But this tumor is aggressive and known to return quickly.
Right now, we are in a critical window.
Braelyn is home and working incredibly hard in rehab — relearning speech, regaining strength, and fighting every day to recover.
At the same time, we are urgently working to slow tumor growth while pursuing a personalized immunotherapy (dendritic cell vaccine) that could give her a real chance at a future.
Because there are no active clinical trials available, we are pursuing compassionate use in the UK.
This process takes time — and time is what we are fighting for.
We are also now considering proton radiation as a bridge, something I had been strongly opposed to, but may be necessary to help hold the tumor at bay while we work to access the vaccine.
This is the hardest place to be — balancing risk, time, and hope.
Braelyn continues to show incredible strength and determination through all of this.
If you’d like to follow her journey, I share daily updates here.
And for those who have asked how to help, we do have a GiveSendGo linked in my profile.
Thank you for standing with Braelyn. 🤍

Very glad that everything in Michigan is going so well the state senate has time to designate an official duck. Also, did the four votes against come from people who think it’s a dumb idea, from senators who wanted to be contrarians, or ones who preferred a different duck?

Congress what are you doing? Why is he allowed to just destroy or disfigure a public mansion, national historic landmark without approval? Cc: @tedlieu @RepRaskin

@KoreaPistonsFan @mynd_krym Miller’s is a Dearborn institution. Definitely a can’t miss. I’d recommend checking out Ford’s Garage as well — classic vehicles out front and unique automotive touches throughout.

@mynd_krym But a burger in Dearborn..? I kinda want to try middle eastern food when I'm there 😭 is it that good?

@eljohnson1801 @GeriPerna Interesting take. I read the initial post more as dissatisfaction with the store for not having a sufficient number of employees than as a put down of the ones who are there.
English

@GeriPerna The stores that all those employees went out of business! Stop demanding the same level of service from the ones that survived. The employees are doing the best they can.

I remember back in the 80's, I got a job at Macy's for Christmas help. I was in the men's department, and my job for every shift was folding the men's sweaters and keeping the dress shirts and ties in order. That was it. I was not trained on register until I was kept on permanently. That store was as neat as a pin, and every department had 2-3 "extras" working at all times to assist customers. Now? You are lucky to find an employee, except for the one at the cash register, with 8 people standing in line waiting.
