@samafshari Amazing. Look forward to seeing updates. Generals is one of my favourite games of all time

@KaneWallmann Everyone thought the slowness and lag was due to network code but in reality a 45 minute 4 player game transmits less than 5MB in total! The issue is due to AI going crazy in the way it thinks and synchronization of that across all peers.
I plan to fix it.

Porting/rewriting Command and Conquer Generals from D3D8 to D3D11 update:
- Terrain maps look good, some soft blending. More work needed.
- Disabled UI buttons, circular building progress effect, some object selection and mouse events implemented.
- Some shadow and lighting implemented.
- Basic water systems implemented.
- Scaffolding, vehicle trails, team colors on models, skybox implemented.
- Radar implemented, needs some bug fixing.
- Some shroud, fog of war and far object darkening implemented, but needs improvement.
Still need to improve water (bump map, reflections, waves, soft edges, etc.), the road system, snow, dynamic lighting and so on.

@samafshari This is awesome! But I refer specifically to just how terrible the net code was lol. Even LAN games would always end up slowing to a grind and crashing eventually, so many intense games ended between my friends before anyone could win
English

@KaneWallmann Yes! I took out all Gamespy code and set up my own relay server on my own cloud. This allows anyone using my binary to simply open the Multiplayer page and see everyone else in the lobby, with no custom NAT or direct IP setup. Totally seamless. Already tested it with friends!

@ptr_to_joel if you ask codex, it's in every function at every layer of the application

@trikcode It works on my machine... so let's just deploy my machine. and Docker was born

The tech stack of most startups:
- Frontend: React (because everyone uses React)
- Backend: Whatever the CTO knew from his last job
- Database: Postgres (or Mongo if someone watched a YouTube tutorial)
- Auth: Copied from a blog post
- Payments: Stripe (obviously)
- Deployment: "It works on my machine"
- Documentation: LOL
- Tests: "We'll add those later"
Valued at $10 million.

@jengates @JorgeCastilloPr c&c generals had the best ones
"that one's done"
"any more projects?"

As always pleasure working on this audit with @Rocket_Pool, @bailsecurity and @KaneWallmann.
A lot of high quality findings covering beaconchain proofs and various areas of staking and governance. First time working with sensei @0xCharlesWang on a large code base, this guy is an absolute beast, learned an insane amount from him. Every single day this guy is at 100% effectiveness 7 days a week, there’s never any downtime, it’s nuts.
The bailsec standard is world’s best, worth learning from our report here. But expect to take at least a week to read the report.

Three Saturn audits from @bailsecurity, @spearbit/@cantinaxyz, & @sigp_io have been completed and are now available for review. The @immunefi bug bounty program will be updated shortly. Check out the audits at the link below 👇

Thanks to all the founders, project teams, developers, and the most relevant Web3 security researchers.
We have earned the trust of many major players by delivering the best security by far (ask any project and founder we have worked with), repeatedly proving ourselves against every major Tier-1 player in the space.
Quality speaks, no noise, just results!

@functi0nZer0 I had to look to see if this was real. Satire wouldn't even be this on the nose

@Richard01357064 If it's gerrymandering why isn't the opposition coming out strongly against it?
English

Labor’s excessive and ill-directed migration program looks less like nation-building and more like a cynical gerrymander.
Two problems stand out. First, infrastructure and essential services should be provided voluntarily and efficiently through markets and genuine community planning — not overloaded by central planners who import numbers without fixing housing, hospitals, or schools. Government failure, not migration itself, creates the crisis.
Second, voting should never be a tool for politicians to manufacture outcomes. In a free society, citizenship — and the voting rights that come with it — must be earned through long-term residency, paying taxes, and real community contribution. A minimum of ten years is a fair safeguard against political manipulation.
Liberty requires integrity. Without it, democracy is just another numbers game for those in power.
