@fandompulse Unfortunately, they released season 3.

Jon Favreau on the shelved Mandalorian Season 4, speaking to Empire Magazine:
"We were planning on doing a fourth season. I had actually written all of that. I still have Season 4 sitting on my desk here."
That's now four Star Wars Disney+ shows cancelled or buried. The entire MandoVerse future depends on how Ahsoka Season 2 performs.
Has Disney's streaming strategy permanently damaged the Star Wars brand?

English

@fandompulse Disney permanently damaged the Star Wars brand long before it continued to do so on Disney plus

English

I'll say it again.
You need not have watched ANY Star Wars to understand and enjoy #MaulShadowLord

English

@fandompulse Fair enough. Starfleet Academy was the antithesis of what you should do to Star Trek. 🤷🏻♂️
English

Holly Hunter says it was great being barefoot in Starfleet Academy:
“I thought was really fantastic."
"That's fun, because it's the antithesis of what you should do – people are wearing protective footwear – boots, maybe with steel toes. And there I am completely unprotected and trotting around, loping around, lazing around. Yeah, I like the opposition of it.”
Was this fun to you or cringe?

Apparently, "leaks" of The Winds Of Winter were rumored, and they're supposed to be fake
My inside sources say the book was finished years ago, and that it's the same ending as the crappy TV show, and that's why Martin pretty much abandoned it.
He's not even remotely intending on releasing the book.

English

I don't think it started that way.
Had mystery, a good tone, interesting characters, and a fun ground character for #StarWars.
But.
In typical fashion.🙄
They destroyed everything that people actually liked. On purpose.
Madness.
Critically Thinking & Drinking 🧐 🥃🧉🍸🍹🤪@TheCriticalDri1
Hard to put into words how overrated this character is. Star Wars sucks so bad an average at best show swept the nation.

@ScriptDoctorPhD Count me as highly skeptical.
In the audience’s eyes: Steve Rogers is Captain America … but not in this movie. RDJ is Tony Stark … but not in this movie.
I don’t think the audience’s reaction to this can be understated. At best, it will leave an unpleasant impression.

@fandompulse When you ‘push things forward’ that your customers don’t want … and then make adversaries of half of them, this is the predictable result.

Star Trek: Starfleet Academy actor Karim Diane defends showrunner Alex Kurtzman:
"The fact that Jay-Den is a gay Klingon is not an accident. It was a result of a very thoughtful process. It was because there are people behind-the-scenes including Alex Kurtzman who really believe that Star Trek should expand.
Star Trek has existed for 60 years. It's always believed in pushing things forward. In the 60s that looked like one way. In the 90s pushing things forward look different. And today pushing things forward. Again, it always looks different in every single decade. ...
But what I can say for a fact, is this, Alex Kurtzman is a hardcore Trekkie. He's a huge fan. I've seen it with my own two eyes. And he has one of the hardest jobs of being the captain of this ship whose goal is to keep this universe alive for a completely brand new generation. ...
I love Alex Kurtzman. I admire what he's doing, but he's also just a really nice guy. He's really, really kind. He loves, loves us so much. By us I mean the cast, the crew, the fans. ... He's a fearless leader and lovely human being"
Is this why the show bombed?

Mark Hamill on how his character from The Last Jedi might as well be Jake Skywalker:
"Well, Luke was so optimistic and so hopeful, and cheerful. Here, he's in a very, very dark place. One that I didn't expect. I said to Rian, I said, 'Jedis don't give up. I mean even if he had a problem he would maybe take a year to try and regroup, but if he made a mistake he would try and right that wrong. So right there we had a fundamental difference.
But it's not my story anymore. It's somebody else's story. And Rian needed me to be a certain way to make the ending effective. So I understood the requirements of the script and once I was honest with him about how I felt I was able to go and do what I was supposed to do, which is do my best to make that story as effective as possible and realize his vision and that's what I did. ...
That's the crux of my problem. Luke would never say that, I'm sorry. Well, in this version. See, I'm talking about the George Lucas Star Wars. This is the next generation of Star Wars. So I almost had to think of Luke as another character. Maybe he's Jake Skywalker. He's not my Luke Skywalker.
But I had to do what Rian wanted me to do because it serves the story well.
Listen, I still haven't' accepted it completely, but it's only a movie. I hope people like it. I hope they don't get upset and I came to really believe that Rian was the exact man that they needed for this job."
Will Disney Star Wars ever recover from this catastrophic decision?

English

@fandompulse @BrianNiemeier Yep. Wipe it out, just as Disney did with the Expanded Universe. Recast the Skywalker family characters and tell the story they should have in the first place.
So…in other words. No.

Man Sadly Informs Son After Watching 'Return Of The Jedi' That They Never Made Any More Star Wars Movies buff.ly/YCXfL7J

There was a 16 year gap between Return of the Jedi and The Phantom Menace, and in between those years the Star Wars brand still made more profit than every other fandom by a mile.
It took Disney less than 6 years to completely kill the brand.
Fake Wizard@RealLifeFakeWiz
There is a new Star Wars show out with Darth Maul as the lead protagonist... and I don't see ANYONE talking about it. This brand is so unbelievably dead. Can't wait to find out it is doing worse numbers than Starfleet Academy...

@SophiaNarwitz There could be an element of that. But either way, that is his carrot to bring in the audience.
