Jon Favreau on the shelved Mandalorian Season 4, speaking to Empire Magazine: "We were planning on doing a fourth season. I had actually written all of that. I still have Season 4 sitting on my desk here." That's now four Star Wars Disney+ shows cancelled or buried. The entire MandoVerse future depends on how Ahsoka Season 2 performs. Has Disney's streaming strategy permanently damaged the Star Wars brand?

Apparently, "leaks" of The Winds Of Winter were rumored, and they're supposed to be fake My inside sources say the book was finished years ago, and that it's the same ending as the crappy TV show, and that's why Martin pretty much abandoned it. He's not even remotely intending on releasing the book.

I don't think it started that way. Had mystery, a good tone, interesting characters, and a fun ground character for #StarWars. But. In typical fashion.🙄 They destroyed everything that people actually liked. On purpose. Madness.

@ScriptDoctorPhD Count me as highly skeptical. In the audience’s eyes: Steve Rogers is Captain America … but not in this movie. RDJ is Tony Stark … but not in this movie. I don’t think the audience’s reaction to this can be understated. At best, it will leave an unpleasant impression.

Disney's plan is not to make a profit for Avengers: Endgame. It is to win the audience back. A deliberate loss leader to bring audiences to future Marvel movies as they are released. It's quite a gamble. We'll see how that works out...

@fandompulse When you ‘push things forward’ that your customers don’t want … and then make adversaries of half of them, this is the predictable result.

So I almost had to think of Luke as another character. Maybe he's Jake Skywalker. He's not my Luke Skywalker. But I had to do what Rian wanted me to do because it serves the story well. Listen, I still haven't' accepted it completely, but it's only a movie. I hope people like it. I hope they don't get upset and I came to really believe that Rian was the exact man that they needed for this job." Will Disney Star Wars ever recover from this catastrophic decision?

Luke Skywalker... Is the Hero we all want back!! Wating for Disney to do it is a lost cause. If you want Star Wars you want to read, you have to do it yourself. Stay tuned for more WIP.

@fandompulse @BrianNiemeier Yep. Wipe it out, just as Disney did with the Expanded Universe. Recast the Skywalker family characters and tell the story they should have in the first place. So…in other words. No.

There was a 16 year gap between Return of the Jedi and The Phantom Menace, and in between those years the Star Wars brand still made more profit than every other fandom by a mile. It took Disney less than 6 years to completely kill the brand.

I ask this as respectfully as possible: is this guy deep on the spectrum or someone who battles some other developmental disability? Every clip I’ve seen of him over the decade has been him crying while watching movie trailers for cape-flicks.
