Suella. It is the postal votes that are the problem. The family voting a fraction of the issue. Postal votes stand at one in five of all votes in a general election....and 34 percent in local elections. There is no ID. The Tories did not fix this - it has been going on for years - Rochdale, Batley etc. We need a moratorium on postal voting on May 7 while an electoral inquiry held into yesterday's by election. The Tories, Reform, and Restore need to agree for the sake of democracy on a demand for a moratorium, if necessary backed by law.

Sectarian politics is ripping our country apart. If people don’t wake up to this now we will lose all that is good about Britain. Reform UK came a good second place in a Labour safe seat. Matt and the team ran a professional and energetic campaign. If we can beat Labour here, we can beat them anywhere and we will. Our electoral system is at a tipping point. First it was postal votes, and now it’s en-block family voting through the subjugation of women. It goes against the democratic foundations of this country, which have been built over nearly 1,000 years. This is not the democracy for which the British people fought. The Green Party does not stand for the love of the environment and the vast majority of the British people won’t be fooled. They are wolves in sheeps’ clothing. They are the party of open borders, drug abuse, a ruined economy and radical Islam. Fortunately, for now, they can only repeat this result in a very limited number of seats. Only one party is ready to speak for the patriotic, common-sense majority in Britain. That is Reform UK. I had almost forgotten a line about my former party, but it’s clear they are now irrelevant.

Il Viminale ha detto STOP: vietate sino al 23 marzo pv le trasferte ai tifosi dell’Inter dopo l’episodio di #CremoneseInter, lancio di un petardo che ha colpito il portiere grigiorosso #Audero. Sono fermamente convinto che, come ho già detto in occasione del provvedimento con il quale sono state bloccate le trasferte ad altre tifoserie, si tratti di un provvedimento populista e illiberale, con il quale vengono sanzionati anche gli innocenti: se è vero che in Italia la responsabilità penale è ancora individuale questo è un divieto che dimostra l’incapacità dello Stato di prevenire, individuare e sanzionare. Il mio auspicio è che chi delinque e non rispetta le regole sia emarginato ed escluso per sempre dagli eventi sportivi, ma temo che senza una necessaria educazione allo sport e una obbligatoria prevenzione si andrà presto verso il blocco totale e indiscriminato delle trasferte: provvedimento che piace al Governo anche perché costituirebbe un enorme risparmio di risorse di uomini e mezzi della Polizia di Stato.

Nel Consiglio dei Ministri di oggi il Governo ha deliberato la dichiarazione dello stato di emergenza nazionale per Sicilia, Sardegna e Calabria, regioni maggiormente colpite dal maltempo di questi giorni. Abbiamo contestualmente stanziato 100 milioni di euro per i primi interventi urgenti. Lo Stato è vicino ai cittadini e ai territori. Le Regioni, con i loro Presidenti nominati commissari straordinari, avranno i mezzi e i poteri appropriati per intervenire in modo efficace e tempestivo.
