The revenge attack came after Eastwood accused Gemma of trying to trip her at her own wedding the previous year. Gemma had only just come through a terrifying cancer scare, something her sister-in-law knew full well. Despite the horror, Gemma changed into a borrowed gown and still married her childhood sweetheart two hours later. Eastwood pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal damage. She was handed a 10-month suspended sentence, 160 hours unpaid work, a 10-year restraining order and ordered to pay £5,000 compensation. Gemma said the day she had waited so long for was turned into “the worst memory I will never forget.”
