@bluewolfpack1 @AlboMP @narendramodi Judging by your more recent post after this one. Maybe instead of drinking expensive wine in some bougie bar you should be assisting these homeless people instead of taking photos of them.

Hey @AlboMP while you are sucking off @narendramodi and opening the flood gates for more of the Calcutta slum to come to Australia 🇦🇺 maybe your focus should be on the Aussies sleeping rough on the fcking street in center of Sydney in the cold and rain.

@RobGrieves Completely agree with Rob but needs 14.3.4 before it’s rolled out to the masses who have never used FSD before.

Tesla owners will spend 20 minutes explaining why they don't need a key and then panic when their phone dies at Costco. (Unless they have a key card handy, which I recommend.)

@13arm13arm Country back roads, sometimes good, sometimes not. Unprotected rights at 100kmh still sketchy. Speed sign reading odd, will work 3 times then on one drive miss the same sign. I’m hoping for 14.3.4 sooner rather than later.

Did a FSD V14DU 46min ~60km test loop with suburban, rural and highway roads. Speed sign recognition IS the biggest issue, it’s never good that it misreads signs or uses bad map data, constant PoE on the freeway to keep at the limit is bad. Followed by lane selection with its keenness to explore lanes that are ending or side road merging lanes And I’m not sure if I’ve ever mentioned this before, but it indicates too early for everything. Returning to the start point, it completely missed the car park, and drove onto some grass. wen 14.4.4? @TeslaAUNZ @Tesla_AI

@nerdalert @elonmusk @dvorahfr Needs FSD to be polished 100%, then go time with advertising. It’s not quite there just yet. FSD being ready for the masses is the secret sauce.

@elonmusk @dvorahfr My feedback is that it’s crazy Tesla doesn’t advertise when the cars are so good yet the public doesn’t have a clue. Especially when I see you advertising Starlink EVERYWHERE!

@cactusglen0404 @Tesla_AI @TeslaAUNZ @Tesla @elonmusk I felt relaxed with v13. After 25k kms I knew exactly how it would behave. The capabilities of V14 are much better but I am finding it a little unpredictable. I’m hoping we get the 14.3.4 update pretty soon to iron out some of the rough edges.

@mrMDofficial @electricfuture5 I’m in SA. Some drives are great, others or very odd. Excessive lane changing is infuriating. Seems to happen when roads are less busy, heavy traffic its fine. Unprotected turns on 100kmh roads still sketchy.

@electricfuture5 Its so interesting to see how varied experiences can be. For those of us in Adelaide we seem to have a trouble-free FSD but in the eastern states it seems a lot harder.

I have noticed on here a flurry of Negativity against EVs since the big number of registrations in June. Isn't it crazy that registrations of electric cars would affect a certain group of people so profoundly. The more they complain, the more we know the change is progressing.

Arbeitslohn

Has anyone found any new bands that are awesome? Most friends are still listening to the same bands from ~10yrs ago. I'm sure there are multiple reasons for this, but I think I'm genuinely open to new music and I've only run into a couple new bands that are great.

Interesting. I purchased our isofix seats from Germany when our kids were younger(no longer use them). Rear straps not required in Europe, I never installed them but our seats had legs that went to the floor. I was happy trusting European safety standards over our antiquated standards.

Worth noting that the Model Y L has ISOFIX points in the Captions Seats and they are super easy to access. (however Australia also requires rear tether strap)

Tesla have updated Model Y owners manual to address child seat installations for Captain Seats in Y L. It now provides more details for rear tether straps, recommending the use of splitter plates and extension straps. Link below (scroll to 6 seater section)

If AI3 is only ~15% the memory bandwidth of AI4... imagine the crazy capability and headroom still coming to AI4 😳 What is next for AI4? Robotaxi is already working driverless, but I think we need more "personal" stuff like parking preferences (as already mentioned)
Elon Musk@elonmusk

Nice work by the @Tesla_AI team! The AI3 computer only has ~15% of the effective memory bandwidth of AI4, so this was a tough challenge.

@DronusAdelaide I’ll try a system reset and go again. I’m struggling with a streak longer than 50km because of the pot holes down Victor way. The best thing is no more nudging the accelerator pedal.

@MitchT84 Not that I’ve noticed. In hurry it really is ‘game on’ as far as assertiveness but I haven’t had constant lane changing etc. it just gets up to speed quickly and doesn’t muck about. With about 1km to a nav exit it will just wait in that lane, which is fine by me :)

My first day at work and day 3 of v14.3.3 My drive to and from the gym in hurry mode was absolutely brilliant. All of the segments that used to bring me anxiety are gone. It powers around roundabouts, doesn’t randomly slow down in areas and filters to the front at lights and guns it. It’s like a new car. Obviously some of our daily commutes are different, but as mine was performing heaps good on v13 it is now epic on v14 I still need to go out and try 110 zones.. but the 100 zones on the roads I’ve been on down south have been fine. Thank you @TeslaAUNZ @Tesla_AI

@SoulPedal @elonmusk The Model had been a waste of resources and that’s why Elon killed it since cars won’t get Tesla out of the crazy valuation. Tesla could sell today twice as many vehicles and the valuation would still be crazy high.

WARNING: TESLA RED PILL INCOMING. CONTINUE READING AT YOUR OWN RISK. @elonmusk This is a widely held misconception about Tesla, at least partially. The reason Tesla is so far ahead has not only to do with the Model Y being a strong product and brand, but also with capital and politics. Let me explain. 1) Tesla is the only large EV maker globally with factories in all three major markets: China, the US, and Europe. None of the other large EV makers have that footprint. Most Chinese EV makers do not even have meaningful manufacturing capacity outside China. 2) As a result, their global sales are artificially suppressed by tariffs and trade barriers. Some Chinese OEM's pay over 40% tariffs! 3) While Tesla can collect sales across all major regions, Chinese manufacturers are effectively locked out of the US market and highly restricted in Europe due to tariffs. 4) This means Tesla gets to compete across a much larger addressable market. Comparing Tesla's global sales with the global sales of Chinese EV makers is therefore inherently not an apples to apples comparison. "But AJ, that's bullsh*t. The Chinese can just build factories on all three continents like Tesla." Well, not quite. Tesla's extremely inflated share price gave the company an enormous capital raising advantage. No automaker globally has had anywhere near as low a cost of capital as Tesla. Tesla's factories are already built and paid for. The major cash outflow is behind them. Today, there are depreciation charges and ongoing operating costs, but the large factory buildout already happened. Chinese OEMs, by contrast, would have to put real cash on the table today to build factories abroad. On top of that, they cannot be sure whether they will face political headwinds that effectively deter or block large scale investments in the US and Europe. Several projects have already been delayed, scaled back, or put on ice. Hence, please stop making these nonsensical comparisons. The truth is that sales numbers can only be compared properly in markets where there is an even playing field. The closest we have is China. In China, Tesla still leads, but by an ever smaller margin. Other OEMs, for example Xiaomi, are selling nearly as many units at a similar price point with the same number of models, namely two. In the US, the gap is much larger because there is no large and highly competitive domestic EV competitor at Tesla's price and volume level and there won't be since Trump killed OEMs' incentives to move more strongly into EVs. Tariffs have successfully locked out the most competitive Chinese players. Hence, a US comparison is highly limited. Similar applies to Europe. European OEMs have been quite uncompetitive, but even there the gap is narrowing. Bottom line: comparing Tesla's global sales with EV makers that are objectively constrained in their global reach is not serious analysis. It is a flawed comparison. x.com/philipengberg/…
