The Artemis rocket has only flown once, in 2022, and it was un-crewed. So from that ONE flight NASA is confident that the second launch, WITH crew AND going to the Moon, will go swimmingly? All this confidence after ONE test flight?

@KellyLMcCarty People assume landing on the Moon for a couple of days is the goal mankind will always have. The goal is not to land on the Moon, dance around for a couple of days, and come back home. It's how to exist permanently. The demands are profoundly greater than they were then.

Can someone explain why we’re only planning to orbit the moon instead of landing on it?
With all the money being spent just to go around it, it definitely raises questions about how we managed to land there before.

99.9% of people who "experienced" the Challenger disaster saw it on replay and now remember it as live.
Almost NO ONE was watching. Everyone thinks they were. It's a fascinating collective false memory.

Anyone who experienced the Space Shuttle Challenger explosion, like I did, is probably a bit hesitant to get too excited about the Artemis II launch today. I truly hope our children don’t have to experience such tragedy. May the Universe welcome them and return them safely home 🙏

@lsferguson He wrote two good songs, Because the Night and Born to Run. They were both performed better by other bands. Realizing he was on the radio, he instantly became an asshole and pretty much soured everything he did after that.

@rushicrypto If you want to spend several billion dollars every launch and only be able to stay there a couple of days then Apollo works fine. Some people expect a little more than 48 hours a stay. When you do that, the science becomes a whole different game.

Tiger Woods had two hydrocodone pills in his pocket when he was arrested for DUI in Florida An arrest affidavit reveals he claimed his cell phone and radio were distracting him before his rollover crash on Jupiter Island. When officers searched Woods, they discovered two white pills inside the left pocket of his pants. They were marked 'M367, which is hydrocodone. It is an opioid used to treat severe or chronic pain.
