When I was a teenager and I couldn’t get tickets to Highbury I watched us in the Gunners Pub or the Highbury Tavern virtually every time they were live. Had some great times, saw us win titles and stuff. Massive crowd was epic As I said on another tweet I got fed up with the cost and the kick off times and the fixture changes and having my whole life run by it. Nearly 10 years ago I stopped following the club. A few years after I started watching lower level football and I enjoy it even more than the Premier League. I decide it I wanna go football that night, we play at the same time every week, a season ticket is the same as one premier league game Now I’m not saying you should go down that road. Just saying you have a choice mate. Of course if you decide that you want to pay above the odds no matter what, then you can’t really complain that there are cunts who will rip you off

Didn’t you have any friends who went games? I never went with my dad but my friends dad had a season ticket at Highbury & made me a junior gunner then took me when I could get tickets.

@CDEccleshare @Carra23 The most important point isn’t being discussed. Football fans, irrespective of the team, are very simple human beings. A generalisation of course but it is what it is. If the English media had a problem with City and Chelsea then so would the fans.

It’s not bizarre at all, you say ‘rooting’ for City which I totally understand they don’t provoke the same feelings as others, but people aren’t rooting for City, they WANT them to beat Arsenal! That’s the difference. The column looks at why. Thanks for bringing more traffic👍

@Carra23 Arsenal are disliked because champions should be entertaining and they are the opposite of that. The PL champions should be playing a style of football that every other team would love to emulate. With Arsenal it's just dark arts and set pieces, it's boring and so is the PL.
