if you're not trying to bootstrap, here's your 36-hour playbook: -launch on Product Hunt -get noticed by Y Combinator -get funded -let the YC network + Product Hunt community do the rest the fastest way into YC might just be a great launch day tomorrow.
Product Hunt 😸@ProductHunt

We're teaming up with @ycombinator to get builders to launch. Schedule your launch for tomorrow, tag "YC application." and @aaron_epstein will review launches. Top ones could get a YC interview + potential funding. 👇

This is honestly pretty goated At its core, YC turn ideas into startups. Startups are businesses. As a business, you need to make money, or die. If you have no pathway to profit, you’re a charity, not a business. You can’t make money if you don’t sell. Most startups fail this way. Too many founders don’t sell, because they think the idea isn’t perfect or finished. But selling isn’t just money making; it tests and validates your thesis in the real world, whether someone will find your thing useful. In fact, you can often validate your thesis before even building anything - most traditional businesses start that way! Partnering with PH means YC will force early founders to test and validate their ideas. If you launch bc of this, it’s not simply an application to YC - it’s an application to early adopters, early users, for ideas to test a real audience. If you’ve never launched before, you’ll probably not make it to YC. If you make it, congrats! But success typically comes after many, many iterations, and everyone must start somewhere. Tomorrow, hopefully many founders will take the major step towards birthing a startup 🥹

I was thinking to launch Astrio on PH a few weeks or a month later because of my perfectionism. This pushed me and my co-founder so hard that we finished the launch prep within 6 hours. The most intensive 6 hours ever! Let’s see how it goes. Please upvote my launch and leave feedback: producthunt.com/products/astri…

@ProductHunt history might have just been rewritten today. 60+ featured launches. Everyone shipping. Everyone tagging YC. Builders woke up and chose “maybe today is my @ycombinator interview day.”
