When I was saying, "We must not lose Maresca no matter what," because he was massively important to this squad and will be hard to replace, they said, "I'm paid and will back anything."
The thing is, we all want change whenever we face small adversity, but what we forget to ask ourselves is if the change will actually be better and if the change won't face its own adversity.
I feel some of us deserve what is happening; at least we will learn to be patient and realize that the devil we know is better than the angel we don't know.
Football is a process. If you find the right manager, stick to him even when things aren't going well. What Maresca did last season and at the CWC was enough to show his level, but some fans won't have it after a little blip.
We have a young squad, and changing the manager is always tough for youngsters who aren't tactically well-prepared. It's easier for an experienced squad that has seen it all, unlike this squad.
So, before you shout 'sack the manager,' be ready for what comes after it.
