PDC comrades meeting some Havana folks. A meal during an apagón (power cut). Only those Cubans receiving hard currency from relatives outside can afford goods in private shops. Most people carry ration book at all times for rare times when some food is in gov't shops.

The RCP comrades were jailed last year during the Gilgit protest movement and they are under the gun again. A united defense movement to fight the increasing repression of the Pakistani state must demand the release of all political prisoners. It is vital to mobilize a united defense, including Imran Khan and U of T student Hamza Ahmed Khan who was grabbed off the streets of Lahore a few weeks ago. Hands off the Pakistani RCP! KENYAN COMMUNIST LEADER RELEASED ON BAIL AFTER TORTURE IN DETENTION
After eight gruelling days in custody, Booker Ngesa Omole, General Secretary of the Communist Party Marxist Kenya, is finally out on bail.
He was released alongside seven of his comrades after the court set a combined bail of 1.4 million Kenyan shillings.
What happened over those eight days should concern anyone who believes in basic rights and the rule of law. His supporters say he was abducted rather than lawfully arrested. He was allegedly beaten, injured and mistreated while in police custody before being presented in court.
They are out. But their case is far from over. Ahmed Kaballo brings us the story from outside Mavoko Law Courts on the outskirts of Nairobi.

Booker Ngesa has been transferred to Kitengela Remand Prison with a broken arm. The court has acted with open hostility, denying him both cash bail and urgent medical care. This is not justice. This is political persecution.

A massive witch-hunt against @FranceInsoumise has been unleashed following the death of right-wing extremist Quentin Deranque.
LFI offices have been ransacked, their HQ received a bomb threat and there are calls to ban the party. The right wing is on the offensive. This is a very dangerous situation for the entire workers' movement, presaging new attacks on its organisations. It has been clear for a long time that it is the far right that has the wind in its sails.
